Restaurant Marrakesh question.... when the menu says "moroccan spices"

The food is spiced and has interesting flavors, but is not, IMHO, spicy in a hot way. I think one of the main spices used is cinnamon.

I've only been here once & there wasn't too much 'heat' spice. It was more of a curry with hints of cinnamon, etc. It was nice. The only thing I had that was gross was a phyllo dough appetizer that had chicken & lime filling which tasted a lot like soap.

morroccan food uses cumin and turmeric, too...

Nothing hot at all about anything we've ever had at Marrakesh. I've detected cinnamon, turmeric, powdered sugar, cumin, coriander, and a bit of NON-hot curry. Really, nothing weird or strange about the flavors- we've liked everything we've ever tried.
