Any reviews?

Three out of four of us (including myself) are extremely picky eaters and don't really like to try new foods. Is the food here from Moracco? Do they have some typical American food?

I heard the atmosphere is really good and I didn't want to miss out on it.

They don't have any American food. The food there is all Moroccan.

I will tell you, though, that if you ever picked a time to try something new, that would be it! Marrakesh is one of my favorite restaurants ANYWHERE. The food is just fantastic.

Geez, I sound like a Marrakesh cheerleader or something.

DS10 and I ate there in January and loved it! We purposely didn't try anything that even resembled American food. I honestly thought the service was a bit "odd", but the food was fantastic! I put the distant feeling with service due to culture changes that I wasn't aware of. It in no way detracted from the great food and fantastic lunch!

Last time I was there was in Sept. 2003. It was just "o.k." The lamb wasn't very tender and the service was really slow - in fact, a table next to ours walked out. It just wasn't a fun evening and I was so disappointed! Judging by what I've read from others, I think we may just have had a bad night, but based on my experience, I'm not in a hurry to return.

DD(14) and I ate at Marrakesh last Dec. for lunch, and both food and service were wonderful!! DD had chicken kebabs and rice, and I had a plate that they made up special for me, as I wanted to try both the lamb and the lemon chicken. The lamb was very tender, and the sauce was good, but I had never had lamb before and find I'm not very fond of it!! The chicken, however, was delicious, as was the couscous that came with the dinner. We also had hot mint tea, traditional in Morocco, and it was delicious also!!

Our server, Houda, was very accommodating, and we will definitely return!!
