Can any of you tell me any information on this restaurant..I haven't even looked up the name yet! DH just said when we go he'd like to try this restaurant....any good? Good selection on menu? Good place to eat with kids? Thanks!

It is L'Oiginale Alfredo del Roma and here is a recent dinner menu. They are very good. Most of the staff are acually employees of Alfredo del Roma on a one-year assignment. If you want really authentic Fettuccine Alfredo this is the place to go.

We enjoyed our lunch at Alfredos two weeks ago. I had the sampler which was very good. The wait staff was very attentive (and quite nice to look at also).

I would stick with the pasta dishes. The other ones I have tried weren't that good. The tables are fairly close together also.

We dislike Alfredo's. Their fettuccini is like wallpaper paste. Poor sevice and you're packed in. Palio and the Swan is much better.

we tried Alfredo's last August. The restaurant was very crowded, and the tables were close together, but the alfredo was the best I have ever had.
We did not think it was wall paper pastey! To each his own I guess!

We tried Alfredo's a couple of trips back and thought it was way overpriced. Did not have the fettucine, however. WHat makes it authentic and special? We have pretty good Italian food here (metro NY).

Is Alfredo's the restaurant where they are making the pasta in the window while you wait for your table? princess:

We didn't like Alfredo's at all.(Food, waiters, the whole experience...there are so many better places to eat!!!,in our humble opinions...)

Alfredos is one of the resaurants we always go to when in WDW. My kids love it. Ever since I have had the fettichini alfredo there, it is the only place I will order it. DH likes the veal chop special when they have it. We do not look at it like our local Italian restaurants though, it is different.

I've never eaten there after haven been warned by some CMs that it's nothing special for its price. I live next door to a really fantastic Italian restaurant, so when I'm at Disney, i'd rather try a cuisine I don't get too often (like morrocco or japan!)

We like it. We go every year. It feels good to break out my Italian vocabulary & use it once in a while. I dont get to speak Italian a lot since we moved from NY to TX.

The food is generally good, but can depend on who is cooking (like anywhere else).

We think it is a fun experience. I enjoy when the waitstaff sings the songs I grew up with.

We had a wonderful lunch there last November. Excellent service and absolutely the best fettucine alfredo anywhere -- all cheese and butter, no gummy white sauce like in most restaurants. Also, a very nice wine list. I would suggest going early or late rather than peak times. We live in NYC and have plenty of Italian restaurants here. We think Alfredo's stacks up nicely against those.

I have eaten here on 2 different occassions and I absolutely loved it.

The "tour of Italy" plate is wonderfull, esp if you are like me and love variety.

The lasagne has a very strong taste. If you are not fond of Italian food, I would not get this.

The fettucinie Alfredo is out of this world. Very thick and creamy sauce.

If you have picky kids, it might be difficult for them to find something. But, there is always spaghetti :earboy2:

OK, I'm glad I'm not the only one who doesn't really care for this restaurant. The 2 times I've been there, I've had a hard time deciding on a meal, then came away both times underwhelmed. Funny story about this though... Not being too familiar with Italian, I ordered something that I thought sounded good based on the description in the menu. I do remember it having the word "pesto" in the name. Now, I guess I didn't realize that that meant something green. When the waitor brought our meals to the table, I told him that couldn't possibly be mine, I didn't order that... Everyone else at our table informed me that YES, you did!! I must have had a look on my face when they set that dish in front of me, I mean, the pasta was green, the sauce was green, and I had never seen anything like that in my life. If I had seen it ahead of time, I never would have ordered it... I did eat it, didn't care to much for the flavor, and now steer clear of anything that mentions pesto!!

 Brenda

We've tried Alfredo's twice and won't be back. Too crowded and noisy at dinner, food just mediocre (including the alfredo in our opinion but maybe because I make it from scratch at home) and the timing of how they served dh and I and the kids was not good. They brought out our kids' entrees RIGHT after we ordered (they would have been happy nibbling on the bread with us for a few minutes) before they had even brought our glasses of wine or our salads, then they brought them their ice cream before we ever got our entree, so kids had to sit and wait until we were through. Good thing they were well behaved, but we felt so rushed we didn't get a second glass of wine like we would have liked (were never asked either even when our glasses were empty), and were never offerered dessert. In fairness to them, perhaps they think that serving the kids ASAP is a good thing, but not to us since ours are accustomed to eating at our pace. A lot of people like it so you never know. It just wasn't for us and after a second try we decided there are too many other great restaurants for us.

I've been dying to go here and get a cannoli...but $5.50 seems a bit expensive. Who has had the cannoli and can tell me if it's size makes it worth this price?

We ate there two weeks ago. DH and I split a VKL voucher meal. The waiter could not have been any nicer. It wasn't crowded (had a late lunch). We had the pizza appetizer, the sampler entree, and the sampler dessert. It was all very good.
