Restaurant for date night?

Would love some suggestions for a date night dinner! Grandma is graciously keeping kiddos one night of our stay so hubby and myself can go to dinner alone. No special diets here and will try pretty much any food at least once! Thanks

In these times and it being so hard to get ADRs within the parks and resorts, I would suggest checking out the many restaurants of Disney Spring. Relatively easy to get reservations at most TS eateries via opentable.com w/ the exception of Homecomin’ which some say is amenable to walk ups but probably not on the weekends.

A lot will come down to personal preference and how you travel. In January, we had similar scenario where wife and I had 14 day trip with family and had parents watch kids for two dste nights. For us, we wanted to have relatively easy access to resort to help them get kids settled for bed before we left for late dinner. We had split stay between beach club and bay lake tower. During beach club, we did date night a Hollywood brown derby. This was convenient boat/skyliner for us and excellent meal. During bay lake tower stay we did california grill. Again an amazing experience with great food and easy access with kids still relatively close by.

Date night? Looking for something quiet and romantic? If it has to be a WDW restaurant, then try Toledo at CSR.

If you don't mind a short drive/Uber off WDW property, Bull & Bear at the Waldorf Astoria. Be warned that this is expensive! But its really, really good.

Il Mulino if you enjoy Italian
Topolinos was our best new find on the last trip. Not cheap, but it was amazing!
Previously BlueZoo, the current menu doesn't look as good.
Narcoossees. Time it right and you can see the electric Water Pageant.

If you are relying on Disney transportation, getting to the MK or DS areas will be the most convenient. In the MK area, I would consider California Grill, Narcoosee's (though the menu is very limited, IMHO) or Citrico's. At DS, we really like the Boathouse.

My date night was Jock Lindsay's Hangar Bar....but I REALLY like Indiana Jones.

If you want somewhere romantic, then California Grill at the Contemporary, Jaleo or Morimoto Asia at Disney Springs, or Il Mulino in the Swan.

For somewhere more casual, Trattoria al Forno at the Boardwalk or Kona Cafe and Trader Sam's at the Poly.

We had a date night at be our guest. It was during Christmas of 2018. Literally the night of the 24th. We were also staying at Riverside. What was crazy is that the whole thing was a last minute idea and I snagged the res on the day of. Even more crazy we had the Disney bus to ourselves on the way in. Dinner at 8 or 9 and afterwards we walked right out to the fireworks show over our heads. Not planned at all. So we enjoyed that and then ran over to haunted mansion (one of my wife's fav).

Been to Disney many times and that night is one of my best memories. Not planned at all, last minute threw it together and ran with it. Come to think of it, most of our best memories from Disney have been when plans fell apart and we had to improvise on the run. I'm starting to realize planning every minute is not fun.

MY husband and I will be celebrating our 20th wedding anniversary at Disney. We have an ADR at Narcoossee's. I have in time right so I hope we can see some fireworks and the castle (we got married at WDW). I also ordered a special occasion cake that looks similar to our wedding cake (it's a surprise).

Narcoossee’s at the Grand Floridian. You have to try the almond crusted cheesecake!

I would do Jaleo or Morimoto's...depending which cuisine type you like better. Both are can't miss...

Strangely enough I don’t think the Port Orleans boat is running currently which negates the main reason for staying at the resorts that relie on it from my POV

It's been reported by the site that shall not be named that it has resumed for OKW and SSR starting today and will resume later this month, when they reopen, for POR and POFQ.
