I have purchased & used the certificates a few times.
but have had over a dozen sitting in my account unused for almost a year.
I just checked on these & the 4 restaurants I have purchased no longer take the certs:eek:
reallly..... 4 of them? does that happen often? I know on the website they say they will credit them back. but hmmmph.

alright who has gone through the process. I have ones for amounts from $25 to $100. there are very slim pickings for the $100 ones in my area right now. *pout* & those that do have things like burgers:headache:
be pretty hard to buy $200 worth.
now also another question. they give a small blurb about the certs with excludes. are these pretty much correct? because I see MANY that have no alcohol excludes. is that right?i'd like to see the entire cert before purchase. but doesn't see, to be a way.

btw I have 2 certs for the original outback in lake buena vista for $25. & $75. i will NEVER use these.. anyone want them? PM. 1st call gets em

Sadly it happens a lot where restaurants back out of accepting them. They are really good about giving you credit for another certificate though.

The exclusions and terms are generally enforced, sometimes not depending on the restaurant near me and worse sometimes they make up their own rules. One place near me had a $35 minimum purchase on the certificate, then on the door to the restaurant they claim it was an error and you have to spend $50 to use it. I'm glad I didn't purchase the certificate yet.

I bought 4 certificates each at 4 different restaurants in our town June 30.

2 of the restaurants refused to accept them since day 1.
We ate at a 3rd last night, they warned us to use any we bought by Aug 31 as they were going to stop accepting them at that point.
We have not tried the 4th.

After fighting with restaurant.com and escalating the fact they are selling certificates that are no good, we were able to get a refund on our credit card for the first 2 restaurants instead of exchanges.

What makes it worse, restaurant.com has been notified that locations are not accepting the certificates yet 6 weeks later they are still selling them on the website.

Definitely buyer beware here.
