Restaurant.com Questions

So I want to use this when I go to Disney but want to give it a trial run here first, so I feel more comfortable using it.

Questions -

It says $35 minimum. I was going to buy a $50 dollar gift certificate. Does the $35 mean BEYOND the gift certificate price or is it just total?

Do you have to tell them beforehand you are using a restaurant.com gift certificate? Is it like a coupon that way?

If you do not use the total amount do you keep the balance or does it get forfeited?

$35 min would be for a $25 certificate, you need to click on the $50 certificate to see it's terms and conditions... It changes for each dollar amount.

For example a $50 certificate at Girodano's has a $100 min spend. That means the bill before tax and tip must be at least $100, then you get $50 off. Sometimes it will say "food only" which means you can't count drinks towards the minimum spend.
 
Oh, and I always tell them when I sit down that I have a Restaurant.com certificate. It is very rare, but it has happened to people where a restaurant stops taking them. If that happens (or a restaurant goes out of business), call Restaurant.com and they will put a credit on your file towards a new certificate.
