How does it work? Are they like gift certificates?

Do you really save money?, I was thinking in giving some as gifts for teachers and coworkers but do not know how they work.

I think they are great - you print them out on your computer and present them to your waiter/waitress. We used one last night - cost me $1.20 and we received $10 off the food bill. (can only be used for food, not drinks) The only problem with giving them as gifts is there are restrictions on them - can't use on holidays, only one certificate per table, must be at least two entrees, etc. Right now the certificates are an additional 60 percent off with a code (69132)

I also use these on a regular basis. They are really a great deal when you get a code as mentioned above. Make sure before you purchase though, that you read all restrictions. Also, they are only good for 1 year after purchase.
I get them all the time for a sub place I go to often. The restriction is you must spend $15 to get the $10 discount but since two subs totals about $15 anyway, it is really no problem.

Also, restaurant.com will send you a survey within a day after it is used so you know that your gift was used!

If you are giving them as gifts, I would recommend printing them on a nicer paper, or holiday paper to make them a little more special.
