I am thinking of printing out a restaurant.com certificae for giordano's for when we go to disney. If we don't use it, do we lose it or can we request the company to change the restaurant. There is no location in the area where we live. I won't be able to print the certificate when I get down there.

Once you have purchased it for a particular place you either use it or lose the money paid for it.

I've purchased dozens of restaurant.com certificates.I've never heard that you can change the restaurant after you purchase it,the only exception is if a restaurant closes or stops accepting them they will give you the credit to buy another certificate of the same value, but just because you want to change the restaurant I don't believe you can do that, call to make sure and let us know if you can as I have a couple of them that I would change if I could.

Use it, or Lose it.
I have printed coupons on trips, if I am leaving before using them, I usually gave them away to other guests or left at the Front Desk.
With all the Promo Codes available, you should never be paying Full Price at Restaurant.Com unless it's a very popular place that sells out very early in the month.

a specific restaurant at a specific location for a certificate; even if. the restaurant is a chain restaurant.

If you are unsure about using the certificate or not, just don't get one. If you are pretty sure you'll use it then it's worth the gamble. We haven't used all our certificates, but the ones we use certainly paid off and made up for the ones we didn't use. If you buy during a promotion ( I wait for the $2 deal) then it's worth the risk.

I have never seen an expiration date on these certificates. I have used one as late as two years later. As long as they are still part of restaurant.com you get to use them when you want to. I have not seen other discount offers do the same; entertainment books expire year to year. I find this to be a great advantage with restaurant.com.

Finally, if a restaurant goes out of business you get a credit to your account and you get to use the funds for some other place. Again, other discount offers don't do that for you.

I really like restaurant.com and I'm glad we have the opportunity to utilize them.

They actually did use to expire a year after purchase date,I had like 2-3 that were going to expire and I thought I was going to lose them, right around the time they were going to expire I noticed the new ones I was buying didn't have expiration dates,I went into my account and printed up the old certificates and they printed up without an expiration date.Another positive change they've made is that after you use the certificates it gets removed from the certificates on your account,so you don't have to wonder if you used them or self manage your certificates by marking them as used. These are both good changes but in the last year I've noticed the quality of restaurants on the site has dropped,a lot of the better places dropped out of the program or there's restaurants that don't accept promo codes and even in September when every other year they had a 90% sale,I don't recall them having it this year.
