I recently bought a Restaurant.com $25 gift certificate for the House of Blues at DLR and when I printed it, I noticed that it applied to 2 people- has any one used these as a solo visitor or should I just not bother trying to use it?

Is it because the certificate states "2 entrees"? If so, then you might want to call them and see if you can get an entree "to go". I have read where other people have done this to come up the minimum requirement when you need to spend $35 or more. Not sure whether HofB would alllow this. Doesn't hurt to call them and ask.

Read the fine print carefully. There are often clauses for single diners. Can you copy/paste the terms for that specific promotion here?

I'm looking at their general Terms and Conditions. Things like "The redemption of a Restaurant-Specific Gift Certificate requires additional consideration paid to the restaurant" set off warning bells. That probably means you have to make some minimum purchase amount well above $25 before the certificate kicks in. Also says the certificate is good for dine-in only unless otherwise specified by the restaurant.

Normally anyone can use them as long you follow the "rules" of the coupon. :) You will need to purchase at least $35-40 worth of food and they will add a tip of 18% to your ticket. I've never personally used one by myself but I can't imagine it would be too much of an issue. We have been able to take leftovers home and we were able to use alcohol towards our min. purchase a time or two. You just have to ask.

I also just got the restaurant.com certificate for House of Blues and was wondering the same thing - could I use it for take-out? If anyone knows or finds out, could you please post? Thanks.

I know you need to spend at least $35 to use the $25 coupon, but with the 70% off deal they have right now, it still seems worth it.

I'm not positive but I don't think HoB has take out, or a CS window like other places in DTD.

No take out, these coupons are good for dine in only.
