i'm surfing restaurant.com and I'm seeing that many of the $25 certificates in my area now cost $15-$20. WTH??? Not much of a savings unless you get a great code.

fwiw, i bought one a few months ago. went to the restaurant and they gave us a 'special ' menu, it had to be between hours of this and that, and only on certain days...

ugh, never again. not worth it .

I would never pay for a restaurant.com certificate with less than 80% discount.

They offer these all the time if you sign up for emails. :confused3

I don't understand the draw for most of these....you get a $25 gift cert but have to spend $50, so really the % off your bill is much less than your % off the coupon.

None of my restaurants are even on there anymore. If they are, it's always SOLD OUT...I don't even bother looking anymore.

I just got a card in the snail mail today from Restaraunt.com saying that I haven't used them in a while so they were giving me a code (ENJOY) for 75% off. the code is good till Sept. 30.
I haven't bought coupons in a long time because there are no good restaraunts here in my area of CT any longer and I only buy them now when I go to FL.
Why would I use that code when I can get 80% off using the code they send me via email? what a waste of money to mail that, but I suppose they are supporting the US Postal service which is suffering now thanks to computers.

Yes. I don't buy them until I get an 80% code. I've had good success using them at House of Blues at DTD and at Kimonos and Il Mulino at the Swan.

be sure to check them out on Ebay! I was looking for a $25 Girodano's gc. for Kissimmee and they were sold out on the website but they had them on Ebay for $2.00!

We only use them for Florida also. The 80% off sale before this current one though when I wanted to buy one for Giordano's, the $25 certificates required a $50 minimum purchase, so I didn't buy one. I bought a $10 certificate instead. Now with this current sale, the $25 certificate only has a $35 minimum purchase so I did end up buying one of those. You certainly do have to read all the fine print each time since apparently it can change from one time to the next.

That's strange as we have always bought the $25 Girodano's and it's always said min. purchase of $35 on ours. Just besure to get the correct Giordano's location on your g.c. as there are a few of them. We always buy for the on one West Irlo bronson/192
:goodvibes

You can still find some good places but it seems there's less of them and more places have stricter requirements or a $25 certificate is selling for $17.50 instead of the usual $10.I'll still buy the ones that work for me,I recently had a BBQ restaurant that I had a voucher for close down,I had used one in that restaurant before and it was pretty good so I was a bit bummed, but I was able to replace it with another BBQ place that's also pretty good as well and has been around for a long time,$25 certificate with only a minimum $35 purchase required. The day there's nothing worthwhile I'll simply stop buying the certificates.

I thought it was strange also!! It was that way at all the locations too!! I was happy to see it this time with the $35 minimum purchase. As much as I hate to waste the $10 one I bought, the $25 one will be more useful.

I've been trying to catch a House of Blues, but there have been none available for Orlando. I checked from 7:30 am on the day I got the email that the new months were up. Has anyone been able to buy these recently?

We just used one this weekend. Worked great for us. It was for $25 and I used the 80percent code. We took our three kids (two teens) for dinner and spent $52.00 including tip. Not bad for five people for a dinner out...with everyone ordering off the adult menu.

I also bought a couple other ones. So for $12 I got $125 worth of food. Still a great deal to me since we always hit the minimum you need to spend anyway.

There are only a couple of places close to where we live that have them and I don't usually eat at those restaurants or spend what they require you to spend since there are only 2 of us.

I have only used 1 and that was to HoB in DTD in April. I have one I bought at the end of August to use and I have one for Garden Grove and Giordano's.

I made the mistake of buying the $50 to Giordano's, then I saw you had to spend $100, I gave it to a friend that would probably be able to use it. I also gave her the one for Shula's in Birmingham, it is too rich for my pocketbook.
