I've never used restaurant.com, but would like to try it out. I'm concerned by the restrictions on the certificates. For example: a place offers $10 certificates with "Minimum purchase of $20. Excludes: Alcohol, Other Offers/Promotions." So, we would be spending way more than $20. I'd like to get four $10 certificates. Question #1: Can I combine them or is this another "promotion" that is excluded. Question #2 Does this mean I'd have to spend a minimum of $20 for every certificate, i.e. $80?
All help is appreciated!
someone else answered most of this , but I'll something.
you need to look at the menus beforehand to get an idea of what you will be spending. & yu can never figure , no matter what is excluded off the certificate, that you may have to pay for alcohol.
for a $25 one, you can get 2 burgers, one app & one dessert easily to get up to the 25 at most places. we decide to get the dessert to go. it may look like you are puchasing more, but . hey, $25 for $2??? really worth it! you were gonna go out & drink & eat without the certificate weren't you? just figure this all a bonus.
from all I have read, they are pretty firm on only ONE certificate per table/group.
I think , though, maybe, if your group has their own purchased certificates, you can at least use several in a months time ( where you can only go once), & maybe ignore them at another table, & they can go also at the same time.... (lol)
I'd love to also know about the certificates that do NOT state only ONE per table if they can be used. but I highly doubt it. a friend wanted to use one for house of blues by himself & they told him NO you had to purchase a min of 2 entrees....... well wtheck...descriminate for single patrons!
I think they can add their own rules to the certificates. I am now glad thought they don't expire!
