Restaurant.com $1 Sale-Extended Today Too 9/30!

I just bought a few, and when I checked out, I got a message saying that it may be more than 24 hours before I get the confirmation email. I also tried to log into "my account", and it gave me a message saying the site was really overworked (or some other word) right now and it might be 9PM eastern before it would be working again. I just wanted to see what I had stored already, that I haven't yet used. What a deal!

I'm a fan on FB and they said they are completely overwhelmed but to please be patient.

Can you use more than one at a time or does it vary?

Never purchased these coupons before and was wondering if they have your names on them? Our family will be going to WDW and will be splitting up into smaller groups for meals. So if I buy 4 coupons to give to the other family groups, can they use it for their meals? If so, what if we dine at the same restaurant at the same time (different tables), could we use the coupons that I purchased or do they have to purchase their own?

Sorry, little confusing I know. Appreciate any help!

I'd been waiting for it to go through for hours with no luck. I use Google Chrome as my web browser, so I gave it a shot in firefox, same problem. I eventually decided to try internet explorer (which I usually have tons of problems on) and it ran much more quickly and went through and placed my order! So try a different browser if you haven't already and maybe it will fix the problem.

Just got 3 gift cards. What a great deal....thank you!!!

Did you do it on line or on the phone. On line I check clicking "go to check out", but I keep getting my shopping cart!!! And I have been on the phone on hold now for, let me see, 20 minutes!!!

OK, just got through on the phone and placed order. Fellow said something about the server crashing. Anyways, got my certificates!!!

Not true, they no longer have an expiration date

How did I miss this?? So glad to know!!!

My problem is the restaurant sometimes drops off so it pays to use it as soon as possible.

I got 10 for 10.25! Some of my favorites and some I'd like to try out. Awesome!! :woohoo:

Thank you for the tip! I just got one for the Garden Grove and one for Il Mulino for our stay at the Dolphin in November!!! :goodvibes I have never used these coupons before - do you have to tell them you are using it when they take your order, or just when you get the bill? Are there any hoops to jump through? Just wondering, as it is almost a 'too good to be true' deal! TIA!

Read the fine print, the ones I have say only one certificate per party, even if they are at seperate tables. Maybe if each party goes at different times of the day, but I bet there is a code that links them to one account to prevent that. My House of Blues certificate says you can't use more than 1 a week or 1a month.

You need to let your waiter or waitress know as soon as they come to the table and they are very easy to use, no hoops to jump thru. Just make sure to read the certificate thoroughly so there are no surprises.

I got $80 worth of certificates for $8. The "catch" on all the ones I got are this:

They are $25 worth of food, but the minimum purchase is $35, and only one coupon per table. So I still have to spend $10 plus tip and tax when I get there.

Thanks!

Be SURE that you read the fine print details.....all of them have a minimum purchase that can be as little as $10 over the certificate value to double the certificate value. So be careful buying the large ones if you are a small family and won't use enough for the minimum!

Another one to watch is the gratuity....most of them have a required 18%.....no big deal for sit down restaurants, but it was a bit annoying to pay 18% gratuity for a take out pizza! I made the mistake of figuring that didn't apply to a pizza joint, but it did.....so my $25 certificate had a $35 minimum, which meant $7 in tip......but, considering that I'd only paid $2 for the certificate it was still a good deal but not quite as rocking as I'd hoped.

Last one to remember......almost every one of them specifically says no other promos or coupons can be used.....so you can't double up. I have tried a few times and always been turned down.....but considering that you're getting $24 off, well, there aren't a whole lot better coupons, lol.

Can you get a refund on a certificate? I wasn't thinking and bought the wrong amount... it was only a couple of dollars so no big deal, but if it is possible to return it I would like to. Site is so slow now I can't see any customer service info on their site.

The restrictions for each coupon use should be in the details on the website. Most if not all, say DINE IN ONLY. Sometimes they restrict what days of the week you can used them (Sun.-Thurs) The $25 ones generally are for dinner only. There's a minimum purchase - either 2 entrees, or $35, sometimes even $50. Then there's the gratuity that's automatically added to the bill (18% and for some 20%, so don't way overtip on top of a tip). I remember being extremely p.o.'d when I used one for a "fast food chicken place" in NYC. Forgot to read that part, and was amazed that a place that never looks for a tip generally would enforce that. I made sure I left the plates on the table when we were done, to warrant receiving a tip. (my own fault for not reading, but I was still mad).

Other than that, I love them!

Code still works this morning. I wish I could use something at or near Disney, but the only thing I see is Garden Grove and it's a 2 entree mnimim. :headache: (I'm going solo). I can't eat two entrees by myself. Is there a trick to this or something?

Bumping, please tell me if you have any idea how to use the coupon at Garden Grove for just one person. I'm solo and the card says 2 entrees must be purchased. I want to buy a card before the sale ends! :confused3
