Starting some early planning stages for a 2013 trip in August - it will be my wife and I, along with our 4 boys ages 8, 7, 5, & 3...we have come up with a list of restaurants that we think our kids would like...just curious as to any others that may be good options to look at...thinking mostly buffet and family style as our boys tend to eat quite a bit and also aren't always the most patient when waiting for food (typical boys I guess)

Here is the list:

Mickey's Backyard BBQ
Chef Mickey's
Ohana
Boma
Whispering Canyon
Crystal Palace
Hollywood and Vine Fantasmic Dinner Package
Liberty Tree

Any others that might be good choices with our 4 boys? Thanks

We have 3 boys, and have taken them to WDW every year since our oldest was born (and he'll be 12 soon) so they have definitely made their favorite locations well known. Here are our favorites (or "must-do's as my oldest says): Ohana, Garden Grill, Liberty Tree Tavern, Chef Mickey's (mainly for the characters), Cape May, Boma, Biergarten (special order chicken strips and fries for 2 kids), and we're adding Via Napoli this year. These are all dinner reservations, as we never want to "waste" our rope drop time eating breakfast. ;) Unfortunately I have never been to any princess-y places and probably never will...until the kids are grown! :)
Best of luck to you. They will have an amazing time no matter where you eat!

I would also suggest T-REX and Rainforest Cafe in DTD. My boys 13 & 8 both enjoyed them, as well as being able to make a side trip to the Lego Store after. You can get "reward calendars" on-line and get kids meals for 99 cents. I am not sure of the exact terms & conditions of those but I saved at least $5 using one for my 8 yr old.

I would add Biergarten and Garden Grill, both in Epcot, as good choices. If you are paying OOP, Biergarten at lunchtime is a particularly good value. How about Tusker house for breakfast in the AK? If you are going to do any resort touring (or are staying at CSR), the new Pepper Market CS buffet might also be a particularly good option.

My problem with T-Rex and Rainforest is that they are not Disney-specific and you may be able to go to these chains close to home. With limited Disney time I'd want to do more with the actual Disney characters.

And, of course, we are all waiting with baited breath to see what the new BoG in the MK will turn out to be.

I also think Biergarten is a great choice.

My addition to your list is the Tusker House character breakfast. It's our favorite breakfast/character meal and with limited choices at Animal Kingdom, it makes it even better.

How about the buffet at Fort Wilderness? FW is a fun place to visit if you've never been there.

Enjoy.

I agree with this one! My kids had a blast there. Walking around looking at all the animals. They also have a hay wagon ride at 7pm everynight. They have horseback/or pony riding, archery lessons.

We also will be doing Garden Grill in Epcot this time. It gets great reviews. You have a really good list going too. Also, dont forget the Neverland Club (or any of the kids clubs) they get dinners included while the watch the kids and then you two can go have a nice dinner. We are also doing this this time around!

here's ours:

-ohana -raglan road
-crystal palace -sci-fi
-grand floridian cafe
-kona
-biergarten(germany) - very entertaining
-yachtsmen steakhouse
