Taking my DSiL in May for the EE Challenge and it's also her first trip ever...Looking for some good TS suggestions (we're not on DDP)...So far ive got:

1. Toyko Dining (for the Sushi)
2. Le Cellier (lunch)
3. CRT (can't decide between Breakfast/Dinner, ive done B before but not D)
4. Chef Mickey's (Breakfast)

any other good TS that a first timer can't miss...?? Ive been so many times that I feel like I might miss something a newbie might really enjoy!

For our last trip we ate at Tokoyo dining. My kids love sushi, had to order sashimi for DD who was 2 at the time, she only likes the fish, not the rice. I thought the sushi was just ok, the kids loved it. We paid out of pocket so we didn't order too much then snacked at Epcot. That was lots of fun.

Chef Mickey's was ok, the food is typical buffet. But it was a great chance to see the "fab 5" in one place. The kids had a blast. We won't do it next time, but it is the prefect place for first timers.

In the MK, I like the Liberty Tree Tavern for lunch.

If you're looking for a nice dinner (2TS) then I suggest Citrico's and The Flying Fish.

Le Cellier is great.

1900 PF dinner is great.

Chef Mickey's is not - packed, bad atmosphere, bad buffet - I'd never go back there.

Recomendations:
2ts - Yachtsman (great meal) or a show meal (I loved the Backyard BBQ)

1ts - Donald's Safari Breakfast @ Tusker - fantastic breakfast, atmosphere and character interaction - everything CM is not.

I'm a big fan of Boma. Very unique food, a great time to explore another resort and their savannas.

If you are not on the dining plan, I would strongly suggest you go to Kimonos if you want sushi. Much much better than the fare you will get at the location you are intending and its only about a 10 minute walk from the International Gateway at Epcot.

Our top 5:

Ohana
Coral Reef
Chef Mickey
Yak and Yeti
Sci Fi Dine In (for the atmosphere)
