Any opinions on restaurants that a 6yo. boy would like? We are planning on bkfst. at Donalds, lunch at Crystal palace, and dinner at Chef Mickeys. We would love advise on non-character dining that may still appeal to a male child?? We are staying at AKL and VWL in early Oct. Thanks for any suggestions!:bounce:

Did you check the menus at wdwig.com?

I will tell what places my 5yrs DS liked.

Rainforest Cafe
Prime time 50's cafe
Plaza at MK

And believe or not he loved chefs de France & Brown Derby-the waiters we had at both of these were great with kids. He tell everyone france has the best hambuger & french fries!! Also we bought him at Peter Pan Play set the fit in his fanny pack that he would play with when he wanted to, it help alot. Kae

We stayed at AKL last year with our 5 3/4 yo DS. He spent 2 hours in Simbas Playhouse, while Mom and Dad went to Dinner at Bomas. He was very sad, when we came to pick him up, and begged us to stay. They also feed them.

50's Prime Time Cafe has always been one of my children's favorite places to eat. I think your DS would love it!

Our 6 year old likes Whispering Canyon, Boatwrights at POR, Tony's at MK, Beaches and Cream, The Hoop Dee Doo Revue. My husband adds that Planet Hollywood might be interesting for your son to see. If my son thinks of anything else we well post again.

Hi, I'm back again, my son just ran out and said he liked the Luau at the Poly.

My son loved Sci Fi at MGM( he was 5 when we last went). He loved the idea that he was at a Drive in Movie theatre(we don't have those around any more up here),
The burgers were great and he and I could share one.. they are huge, even from the kids menu.
Not to mention those fancy glowing drinks!

My son has always loved the Rainforest because of the atmosphere. He also liked Hollywood & Vine but of course they only serve a non-character dinner now. :( I think that Cape May and the Sci Fi might also go over big with most boys.

Thanks for all your responses! We have definately decided to do Sci Fi for lunch and Whispering Canyon for breakfast! We are also seriously thinking about Hoop De Doo? Any reviews?? Thanks:bounce:

Our son is 6 and he loves the Hoop Dee Do. He told me the other night, he can't wait to go back. He keeps asking when are we going to Disney again. He definately wants to do Hoop Dee. We went in December and we were seated upstairs as far left and practically above the stage. We weren't sure of the seats, but they were pretty good and my son was clapping and having a great time. You could really tell he enjoyed himself. Of course It poured all day and all night, but he had so much fun at dinner, jumping over huge puddles and the wet boatride back to WL didn't bother him a bit. Sorry so long, I enjoy thinking about Disney and all our fun, so I get carried away.

Enjoy.
