Oh dear, that is sad news indeed.
Like so many others have said, I have read and benefited from so so many of his posts over the years…. 12 years or more.
Due to timing I missed out on getting to connect with Don during the Nov meet.
My sympathies to the family and to all his friends here on the Disboards.
And, I also want all of you here on the Disboards camping forum to know how much I appreciate each one of you….

When I was in my long absence from the Dis after PAhunter passed Don reached out in text message and ultimately called me to check and make sure we were okay.

I met him in 2020 during a stay at FW. We were having our Dismeet then, he and Lori were staying up on 400 loop. I had been texting him jokingly about our upcoming May Dismeet in Gulf Shores, joking about his big rig fitting on site 61.

As @tiggerdad has said elsewhere,

We mourn the past losses of our Camping friends:

- @Stratman50th (Don) and pray for their DW Lori

- @grumpyaggie (Arnold) and pray for their DW Gloria (above as @friendofeeyore)

- @PaHunter (Chris) and pray for their DW Jen

They were all DIS Camping posters/contributors from a time ago with all a unique spot on their own angle.

The wonderful thing about campers is that they are very people-oriented and many of us have camped together (all over fer cryin' out loud it seems). It's not just a DIS group that gets together at WDW. I've been as far as MISSOURI with these people (and it was a great trip). And down to FLORIDA - To ILLINOIS & ALABAMA - and all parts in-between.

We campers cast a wide net. They is 'good people'.

PS - although I will say Pigeon Forge, TN is REALLY tourist territory for us trailer folks! "Hey camper kids, wanna go see the world's BIGGEST ball of Yarn?!#$"
