I don't have tolerance or compassion for that.

I could be a jerk and just report you for that, but that might insinuate that I didn't mean what I said on another thread.

Satire is a bitter bitter pill ... is it not?

Just saving you some time.;)

Thank you, I appreciate it. When I saw the news on another forum, I immediately thought of all the tears that must be shed on this forum, and to no surprise, low and behold look, a thread dedicated to him.

I think you JUST made his point... :sad2:

Transversely, I think it's even more sad that people get all worked up over someone who killed themselves.

Not at all...I'm not offended, I stand behind my words, I just do not appreciate people hiding behind sarcasm (thus the reference to reporting as it is against guidelines). I do not feel sad or sorry for the fact that he overdosed and killed himself. I do not feel remorse for his death (even admitting it - and taking minimal efforts to stay clean).

Again, I do feel sorry for his family, because it is unfortunate for them they have to go through this.

Ahhh, Jay Man, in my original post, I in NO way got "Worked Up". I simply said, rest in peace, and he was much too young. Don't go stretching the truth, your nose may grow! :scared1:

Sorry I interpreted the "tearing" emoticon as a form of sadness.

Who's hiding dude? I'm right here. Bring it.

I do not consider your post sarcastic, I was referencing your comment in relation to the other posts, with one carrying the tone in reference.

Thank you for posting this. I find it sad when we lose anyone on this earth. When I first read it I had just heard about it on the radio. Addiction stinks and is a very difficult thing to overcome. Some make it, but many more don't and I find it very sad and pray for those that continue to fight addiction. I know I've got at least one in my family (probably more that I don't know about).

I posted this, because like so many people who grew up in the 80's, he was featured in alot of movies we all watched & enjoyed. Sad? Yes, he wasted his life and talents. One thing I've learned in my almost 44 years of life is this. It's VERY easy to judge another mans life, watching it from the curb. However, living it and walking it is not the same as watching it. I would never judge another person, simply because I don't agree with their choices or lifestyle. Call me crazy here, but isn't that the ONE thing we hate about homophobes? People judging US when they have never walked in our shoes, been in our brain, lived our life? Just some food for thought, Mr. Lewis;)

Gee - I thought I was being Sardonic.
Guess I'll need to ratchet it up a bit.

I do not think I used deragtory terms to define who he was as a person. I actually really haven't posted much in terms of his death (disimilar to the other thread), rather mostly the posts have been involving other's comments (not directly related). Yes, I do find those unwilling to help themselves weak, it's a woe is me attitude, often this correlates to another attitude of it's not my problem, it's everyone/everything elses (limited responsibility).

I have my flaws, I am far from perfect, but I also do not expect anyone to pick-up my slack, I do not expect nor want anyone to feel sorry, sad or remorseful for any of my actions (or inactions). If I held a gun to my head and pulled the trigger, I made the decision. If I did illegal drugs and they caused injury or death, I made the decision. I take responsibility, I do not expect anyone to ever feel sorry they didn't/couldn't help.

One word, COMPASSION. Having compassion doesn't mean you agree with someone, it just means you FEEL something. I think from viewing most of your posts, you lack that. Life isn't black & white. There is alot of gray out there.
