My home resort is SSR and today I tried to change my reservations to BLT, for this is my 7 mts window. The MS told me they won't be excepting reservations till Feb. 22, this Sunday. So, I am sure that come Sunday the phones at MS are going to be very busy.

They will probably be busy at the start of the day, but I doubt it will be as bad as on 2/8 when they started accepting reservations from owners.

On 2/22, non-owners will only be eligible to book arrivals from August 4 to September 22. If there is any availability left, it should go quickly.

yea from feb 8 to feb 21 - is only for BLT owners - after that anything within 7 months is open to non-members.

remember that most of BLT is not sold. so most of it will go to paying customers (cro or WDTC) not to DVC members.

My bet's on worse then 2/8. On 2/8 most of us got our first choice. on 2/22they have to "work out" thier choices.

Plus Tree houses are also booking and don't they open in June? That's June to Sept bookings clogging the phone lines too!

I agree, it will be worse. There may be fewer reservations available, but there are way more people calling, and that's the problem. There are a lot more non-BLT-owners than there are owners.

Valid points, but on Feb 22 we won't have anyone calling trying to book BLT for October, November, December or January...which was the case on Feb 8. Late-August and September are typically very slow periods so demand may be naturally low.

Certainly more people will have access to BLT and THV reservations then. I'm just not sure that the phone traffic will be exponentially worse as some have suggested since fewer dates are available.

Overall I didn't think Feb 8 was all that bad to begin with. I got the busy signal at 9am...waited until noon and got right into the queue. Wait time was about 20 minutes then. Frankly that's less phone traffic than we normally see for peak demand periods like early-December or New Year's Eve. IMHO the reason so many complained about Feb 8 was that it was their first booking experience. For vets it should have been expected.

On Feb 22 I think it's a given that we'll see a repeat of the busy signals and long wait times for the first few hours. But many of those calls may be quick as people discover all of the dates are taken and there's simply nothing left. Not all will want to go on the waitlist.

Well I didn't think it was that bad either. I called about 3 and was in pretty quick,

But I know this board. EVERYONE will call right at 9 and then come post "The line's busy!"

On Feb 22nd, non-owners will be able to book:

BLT: Aug 4th through check-in dates of Sept 22nd.

and

THV: June 1 through check in dates of Sept 22nd.
