Ressies do you hate this word?

I hate most cutesy words. I don't know why. Being an elementary teacher and mother of 5, you'd think I would like them and use them. I never even said horsey or doggy or kitty when my children were babies. I also don't like veggies and, for some reason, yummy just bugs me. If others want to use those terms, it's fine but I just don't. I am sure my Texas words like "fixin' to" and "y'all" are annoying to others (not to mention that Texas accent I have).

I have no idea why, but the term veggies sounds so much better than ressies! Preggers has always been a non term to me. Sounds like you caught something from the CDC hotlist!

LOL...I thought this was kind of funny...I thought about that myself. I don't mind the word "ressies"...but I sure would hate to be called "preggers"...sound like spaghetti sauce "Prego"s.

Just don't ever call toilet paper "TP" in front of me. That is one abbreviation I cannot tolerate!

I dont make too much of a fuss over the abbreviations as long as I can figure our what they mean. Sometimes it takes me days to figure out what certain abbrevs. on this site mean. I will be at work and all the sudden it will hit me. Other times I just skip over that post because I have NO clue what anyone is talking about. Im sure that I will be able to speak in the DIS code when Ive been with the site for awhile. At least I hope I will. You guys are all such experts and the info is awesome. Yeeeha 3 days to go.
