Ressie using two contracts - question

I have 2 contracts with different use years. One contract has 37 points left for 2001.

I want to make a ressie that would be 80 points (5 days @ 16 pts/day)

Can I make this ressie using all 37 points from contract #1, and 43 points from contract #2, or do they have to split up by day, that is only 32 pts contract #1 (2-days), and 48 pts contract #2 (3-days)?

If the latter is correct, no problem, I'd just bank the remaining 5-points from contract #1. But I was just wondering how this would work.

We are in the same boat - 2 contracts, 2 different use years. We made a reservation this past May that required using points from each contract. The way MS worked it was they transferred all the points I wanted to use from one contract over to the other so the entire block of points for a day was available. In other words, they would not take 21 points from the FEB use year and 9 points from the AUG use year to make the 30 point nightly rental. But, they transferred the 21 points into the AUG use year account, giving me the total of 30 points for the night's reservation. Make sense? Hope so. If you have already used your one transfer for the year, they will use the portion of points in one account for the nights it will cover. If, for example, it takes 9 points a night and you have 21 points available, they will book 2 nights using the 18 points and then you will still have 3 points available to bank. At least that was how they explained it to me for my reservation. It worked so I was happy!

They should be able to use the entire 37 points by transfering all or the appropriate number of points. You may need to talk to a supervisor though.

Thanks janiejo and Dean, Looks like it should be posible via transferring points as you state. I sent an E-mail to MS and should hear back by Tuesday. Looks like it's really just an accounting issue for them, but doable.
