If I book at my home resort and then we decide that we want to change to another resort once our 7 month window opens do I have to cancel the orginial reservation in order to book the new one? This will be my first time making a reservation and I wasn't sure how that worked with points. Thanks in advance.

If those are the points that you're going to use for the new reservation, yes, they will cancel the old and then book the new. Be sure to ask how many of the new villas there are...not that they will tell you, but you do not want to lose both reservations during the switch. This doesn't happen often, but it's happened to me, so I'm very wary of switches.

PS. When I lost both reservations, it wasn't at 7 months out, it was much closer.

Thanks - I was figuring this was how it would work!! Also thanks for the tip about asking about the number available I would sure hate to loose both during the switch.
