Ressie at TREX...not enough time?

My friend is extremely excited about eating at TREX in DTD...I mentioned it to her and showed her pictures and she went nuts! So I thought it would be nice to have dinner there on our evening of arrival as we don't have any park plans that day.

Our flight is supposed to land on May 16th at 2:48pm. We'll be staying at ASMovies and I got the reservation for 6:45. Does that leave enough time for us to get to the resort via Magical Express, unpack without feeling rushed and head over to DTD? Or does that sound too chaotic for the evening? Should I maybe try for a later time?

It will probably cut close.. I just got back a couple weeks ago and went to TREX for dinner without a ressie and got in... there was only about a half hour wait

If you made the reservation thru Disney...just know calling T-rex yourself is easier and gives you better times if you feel like you need to switch.

No worries, I made the ressies directly through Trex. And yes it was much simpler.

Thanks for the advice. We did a walk up in August and the wait was only about 45 minutes, so I definitely believe you! This is just too important to my friend to risk it, I want to make sure we're locked in. But I took your advice and called and changed it to 8:30! Does that sound a little more doable?

Yes that sounds a little better.. You will have to let me know how the All Star Movies is.. I am thinking about going there in Feb.. We just got back from POP and I really liked it.. The kids want to try another place next time though

I'll definitely report back, I'm also starting a PTR that will lead to a Trip Report in the next day or two, so if you'd like you can follow along and see how our entire stay at ASM is!

another bit of good news...there are rumors that ASMovies is up for a refurb starting sometime around May...if this is true maybe you'll get a fresh new room by the time you go!
