Here is the leter I received back after contacting vmk about the closing.

Subject: [2008-3-11010-344549078] Greetings from VMK!!!

Thank you for contacting VMK.

We appreciate your interest in Virtual Magic Kingdom and concern regarding the game’s closing.

We too are sad to see VMK closing, but we are excited to continue to build and develop other new and exciting virtual worlds online! We have taken some of our favorite things from VMK and incorporated them into some of our other virtual worlds.

We hope you consider exploring Pirates of the Caribbean Online and Toontown Online, we think you might come to enjoy them as much as you enjoyed your VMK experience.

Thanks for contacting VMK.

Sincerely,

And here is the response I sent in reply to their letter

To whom it may concern,
Obviously you did not read my previous message and this is just a standard response to people who sent messages concerning the close of vmk. I have tried your other games including pirates online and toontown, both of which do not have the same value to me as vmk has over the last three years. Yes I am willing to pay for vmk if that is the reason it is closing, which I believe it is. Also you keep quoting Walt Disney himself in say keep moving forward, in response to vmk was meant as a promotion for disneylands 50th, but then go on to say vmk became much bigger than we ever imagined so why shut it down. Did you know that Walt Disney also said Disneyland is a work of love. "We didn't go into Disneyland just with the idea of making money. " And also he said "Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world." While a guess the managers of vmk have decided that there is no imagination left in the virtual world so it must be shut down. As I stated before I will not go over to the other online games becuase they just dont have the same meaning as what vmk did. It seems that the biggest problem the current managers in the Walt Disney Company have lately is they forgot this one quote from Walt himself "You're dead if you aim only for kids. Adults are only kids grown up, anyway."
