Recently there were posts about ap rates and if the ressies had to be an adut or if a childs ap could be used to get a discount. This is the response that I got from disney resorts
Hope this clears it up.

Thank you for contacting the Walt Disney World® Resort.

We are pleased to know that you will be visiting us.

If an Annual Passholder Room Only Offer is reserved, a valid Annual Pass that
belongs to a guest staying in the room must be presented upon check in. It is
necessary for the reservation to be in the name of an adult staying in the room.

We hope this information is helpful and we look forward to your visit.

If you have questions or need further assistance, feel free to contact us.

Please include your full name, E-Mail address, and reservation number if
applicable on all correspondence.

Maybe so but I have never in my 15 years of many visits been even asked to show it when checking in. Always have it ready, but they never ask!

Is that as clear as mud to anyone else? I read it that it means you can use a child's pass to get the AP rate, since they would be a guest staying the room but the ressie has to be in an adult's name.

That is exactly how it reads and also told to me last week when I called. Disney has NEVER specified anywhere that the AP holder must be an adult. Just the reservation has to be put in the adults name.

That's my understanding as well, but I'm taking a copy of the email with me just in case.
