Okay, I'm pretty sure the Contemporary and Poly, maybe GF... thats it I think but I'm curious to see some pics from these resorts of Cindy's Castle and where are the best views? Okie dokie!

The best views will be from the Polynesian as it is the only resort with a direct straight view, the others will be from the side.

I have to disagree. When looking at the castle, direction really doesn't make a difference. Also, Poly is farthest away from the castle, so the castle looks especially tiny from a Poly room.

Here's my GF view:

I personally think the Contemporary has the best view because it's the only one with a full view of the whole Magic Kingdom and has the least expensive rooms when you compare the rates at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian. Also because of the way the views are at the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, I don't think you can call it a real Magic Kingdom View when it's just of Cinderella's Castle and nothing more, because there is a lot more then that.

Although I've only stayed in a theme park view room at the GF, I would have to agree with you. From all the pictures I've seen, the ones from the Contemporary facing the MK are the most impressive and have that "WOW" factor! I can only imagine how awesome it would be to sit on your balcony and watch the fireworks over the entire MK!!!

I'm still in the process of choosing a resort/view/level of service and I'm not having much luck! I love the GF, but part of me wants the amazing view...but I also want concierge...so I am torn. Truly torn on which resort to choose.

Love your pictures!!!

If you want all of those things, why don't you choose CR Atrium Club - Magic Kingdom View. You would have all of your qualifications and an AWESOME view! Real easy fix, isn't it?!

Completely agree. It's our favorite although we do enjoy the view from GF and CR as well.

I agree with that suggestion and since all the room rates available at the Contemporary are cheaper then the Polynesian and Grand Floridian, that should make the decision a lot more easy when you factor in the cost.

I'm leaning towards CR Atrium Club MK view....DH and I have been discussing it and he doesn't have a resort preference or view preference. He just wants me to be happy. : )

We've stayed at CR and Poly and from the pix of GF, I'd say that CR is the only resort that offers a "full" view of the Castle, from top to bottom. I was very impressed with that when we stayed in the tower MK view. And while I thought Poly was a lovely view, I was a little disappointed that we only saw the Castle from the middle up. Perhaps because I was on the beach and pool? We did not have an actual room with an MK view. In any event, I do have to agree with CR offers the best views of MK and the Castle, but it could just be a matter of taste or opinion as some people prefer to see just the Castle and not the entire park and other resorts.

To provide the other perspective...

From GF and Poly, the MK view is like a fantasy. For the most part, you see beautiful beach, palm trees, and lagoon. Then, in the distance, you see Cinderella Castle, the peaks of MK's mountains (Space, Splash, Big Thunder), and perhaps some of the other resorts. The view is completely magical.

In addition, I prefer to see the fireworks from GF/Poly compared to CR. Because you're closer to the ground, the fireworks appear to be above the castle, as intended.

From Contemporary, you do see the entire park, but you also see a huge parking lot. Except at night when you can't see as much, the parking lot is very prominent. Also, you can see some backstage areas from your view, which detracts from the magic.

I've never loved seeing the fireworks from CR/BLT. The entire show is lopsided, and most of it appears to be over Space Mountain instead of the Castle. Also, you're basically at level with the fireworks, not really looking up at them.

Some people may not be bothered by the parking lot view, or the lopsided fireworks, because they really enjoy seeing the entire park. But it's definitely a matter of opinion, as people have different criteria for determining a "wow" view.

We had a castle view from our room at WL. I need to dig out the pics. but we were on the north side, high up. If you looked down, we had a view of a side parking/loading area but straight out was the castle. Unfortunately, we didn't have bunk beds in the room so we were only there 1 night.
