Which of the deluxes have the best places to eat? CS and TS and snacks. Trying to figure out which place to stay. 2A 3C (ages, 6,11,13).

Any monorail resort would be great because it's so easy to travel from one to another.

The Polynesian has great places to eat -- both quick service and table service; the AKL has a good quick service as well as table service (although a little more expensive as I think all but Boma are two table service credits); the Contemporary has a couple of good table service; the WL has Whispering Canyon Cafe, although we found it to be awful, a lot of people like it and a decent quick service.

I would have to say the CR because I love Chef Mickeys breakfast and the Wave dinner is insane...had a great pasta dish from the CS place too.

Second choice is the Poly, love Ohana for any meal, Kona breakfast is to die for and Capt Cooks has a great veggie/or chicken lo mein.

If you are going to go Mod we love the food at POFQ...it is fantastic.

Another way to go is the BW/YC/BC area, you can walk to any of the TS places but they are all very lacking on CS stuff

Two of our favorites are the WL which has Roaring Forks (CS) and Wispering Canyon Cafe (TS) and the Poly which has Captain Cooks (CS) and Kona Cafe & Ohana (TS) :goodvibes.

ESPN Sports Club
Beaches & Cream
Boardwalk Bakery - we grab sandwiches or breakfast there.
So close to Epcot - we walk there just to grab something to eat.

This sounds like a good idea. We spend a lot of time at Epcot.

Thanks everyone for your replies!!:)

Don't forget about the Swan/Dophin: You can access all these restaurants on the Boardwalk, as well as all the great Swan/Dolphin restaurants!

We just ate at the new Sanaa in Kidani Village last Monday night...it's 1 credit on the Dining Plan. It was very good. Even my DD & DS both enjoyed it. Our server recommended the "Naan bread" and everyone loved it! My DD wanted to get an order of it for take out the next day.

Lots of good resorts with restaurants.

Polynesian TS - Ohana and Kona Cafe
CS - Capt. Cook's

Plus on the monorail

YC/BC TS - Beaches and Cream, Cape May Caffet, Yachtsmen Steakhouse,
Capt.'s Grill
CS - Hurricane Hannah's and BeachClub Marketplace

Plus all the great restaurants in EPCOT and the Boardwalk in walking distance.

Grand Floridian TS- Narcoose's, 1900 Park Fare, Citricos, Grand Floridian Cafe,
Victoria and Alberts
CS - Gasparilla's

Plus on the monorail, easy access to Contemporary and Polynesian.

Sanaa, at Animal Kingdom Kidani Village, is very nice and reasonably priced. We made a 5:45pm reservation on a Saturday and practically had the restaurant to ourselves. Unlike a lot of the other Disney restaurants, the food there is cooked over an open flame and has a nice grilled flavor to it... even my 7-yr old son's kids meal cheeseburger tasted better, than the ones from other resorts. Our server was very good. It is my wife's new favorite Disney restaurant.

My personal favorite Disney menu item is the BBQ pork sandwich at the Polynesian ala-carte counter (Captain Cook's, I think it's called). YUM!

Keep in mind that you don't need to be STAYING at the resort in order to use its restaurant. We live in Melbourne FL, and have annual water park passes. We frequently spend an afternoon at a water park, then drive to a Disney restaurant for dinner. On Blizzard Beach trips, we've been going to Animal Kingdom Lodge to eat. On Typhoon Lagoon days, we've been going to Saratoga Springs and eating at Artists Palette. If you're not a resort guest, just tell the gatekeepers you're going into the resort to eat dinner.

Polynesian!! We have even stayed at CR and went to the Poly for breakfast everyday at Kona! Love the food there!

When it comes to the best counter service locations at the Deluxe Resorts, I would say those are the Contempo Cafe at the Contemporary and Gasparilla's Grill & Games at the Grand Floridian.

We like the Cape May Cafe, our tradition for the last 8 years has been to eat there the 1st night we check in.:):):)

we LOVE the Pepper Market at Coranado.
its great because it had diff. stations with diff. foods so everyone can get what they want.
we love going to lunch there because it counts as a counter service but with the food they give you, you'd never know.
my fave. is the bourbon chicken with rice.. sooooo goood! :goodvibes

I think the Poly has the best places to eat, plus you can walk to the GF from there, which also has great plaes to eat!

Although on second thought, the Boardwalk area has lots to offer, too. We stayed at the Yacht Club several years ago and really like it. Beaches and Cream is the best!

I agree with the posters who said Kona Cafe for breakfast. Delicious breakfast offerings, and - most important for me - really great coffee. Plus, you can get a cup to take to the parks at the Kona Island Coffee Bar - right outside the restaurant.
