Ok it's a toss up - now to help decide which resort ....
Bus Transportation...
obviously monorails zip along, no traffic to deal with....
Boats are a nice ride but may be a bit slow Y/BC to MGM or WL to MK...

But buses - about how long does it take from a Resort to a Park ?

Is there any web-site which can calculate the bus time between a given resort and specified park ?

Any one have bus lenght of times to a Park from:
Dolphin and CSR ?

I think the YC (or any of the Epcot resorts) have some of the best transportation at WDW. We were at the YC, but we often shared buses with the Dolphin, so the times would pretty much be the same.

I don't know exact travel times, it depends on how long you have to wait for the transportation to get there. We noticed both the buses and boats at YC to be very efficient. It seemed like they were constantly arriving and departing.

If you take the boat to the Studios, it takes about 20 minutes. You can also walk.

When we went to Epcot, we just walked to the International Gateway. It took all of 10 minutes from our room to the park entrance.

Buses to the MK only took about 10 minutes. Waits for the MK bus varied from 5 - 15 minutes.

Buses to AK/BB took about 10-15 minutes. The longest we waited for a bus to AK was about 5 minutes.

Buses to TL/DTD took about 5 minutes to TL. A few minutes longer to DTD (and then it depends on exactly where you want to go at DTD). In the evenings the buses went to DTD only...they did not share with TL in the evenings.

Once we walked to the International Gateway, through Epcot, and took the monorail to the TTC. We then switched to the resort monorail and went to the Poly for dinner. The entire trip (walking included) took about 40 minutes.

you obviously never had to sit for 20 minutes on the monorail waiting for the station ahead of you to clear.

The "Unofficial GUide to WDW" has a great table showing the transportation times from all the Disney resorts to all the parks, including the water parks. It's on page 338 of the 2006 edition. :moped:
