Seriously though, I do agree that rules are made to be followed and that they are open to interpretation. Hey, if I spent a good amount on a meal at the Poly or GF, then I could see how the CM would consider me a guest. Seeing things in writing is obviously the best way to go, but keeping written things up-to-date can become an expense. I also know that I will not spend vacation time in the Disney "rule library" to see a rule in writing and will rely on the CM's interpretation of a rule when a rule is not OBVIOUSLY posted.

Some times there is no good reason not to make an exception to a rule and CM's can have the power to do so. We vacationed with my sister's family winter before last and stayed at different resorts. It was cold and no one was using the pool but our three tween boys wanted to go swimming together. We asked and were granted permission to do so. We were at WL and he family in the cabins at FW. Had it been warm or crowded I would not have asked and if i had would have been told no but the three boys enjoyed the pool to themelves and it did not infring upon anyone. Lifeguard was there anyway watching no one at all!!!
