I have noticed from other people's posts that many of you go round the resorts both to see them and also to eat in the restaurants. I am ashamed to say that when we went for the week in 2002 we only really saw Disney as being the parks and weren't aware that you could do this. However, I have also heard to people needing to book a ps in order to get into the resorts to the restaurants so I am now a little confused can someone please explain why that would be necessary in order to dine at that resort?

Also do you all book ps's? I was going to book a ps for fantasmic on our anniversary but hadn't really thought about any others because I have only just found out about since I joined this forum. We are staying off site as we did last time. Can someone explain ps's for me please - sorry to seem dim but what with all the initials used I'm starting to get confused. :confused3

Hi There
I will try and explain but someone will probably do it better!! we have stayed on-site and off-site. If there is a restaurant that you fancy in one of the hotels, say for example you have kids and want to do a character breakfast at Chef Mickeys in the Contemporary Hotel then you need to make a PS. This is essentially just a reservation. Because they are so popular. You can make them form the UK by phoning up to 90 days in advance but not before. Some sre more popular than others like CRT(Cinderellas Royal Table) for breakfast. It is also a great way of seeing charcaters without long lines. If you cannot get a PS in advance then you can always try phoning when you get there or turningup on the day and seeing if there are any cancellations. There are many great restaurants to choose from in the hotels. This is our 5th trip this year and we are trying Ohanas for the first time.
Hope this has helped :earsboy:

Hi :) .

We had been to FL many times before we ever ventured into the resorts to dine.

It all depends on where you would like to eat. Some restaurants are very popular and you would be advised to make a ps (like a reservation but no penalty if you don't turn up) well in advance.

For others, you could maybe wait until you are there. I see you'll be over for 3 weeks. We LOVE Boma at Animal Kingdom Lodge but we always just make a ps a few days before we want to go, stopping off at guest services in one of the parks to do this.

Any other questions, fire away!

Hiya

I just made my first ever PS today!

001 407 939 3463 is the number from the UK.

Just call this number & follow the recorded message (ignoring the request for your home tel) the you will get an operator, Tell them where you want to eat on what day & what time & if it is available then it is yours, You get a PS reference number to take with you on the day.

If you chosen time & day are unavailable the operator will be happy to look through some other times or palces for you.
