Hello. I don't usually come over to the trip report board, but am very glad that I just found yours! Your trip is very similar to the trip we are planning for this December, we are also renting dvc points at akv, going to MVMCP, enjoying the Osborne Lights, hopping to Epcot, and going on a 4 Day Wonder podcast cruise! Oh and we are also from MN! I saw many pages back that you are from Oakdale, we live in St. Paul! I have one question about the Candlelight Procesional. Can you hear the singers very well by just watching from outside the theater? I would love to observe the show, but we don't have time to attend on this trip. This is our first December trip and we are very excited. Thanks for all the great photos and comments, it is a lot of work!

Thanks for coming over neighbor!!!! I'd love to go on the podcast cruise! I heard they have 700 people! At the Candlight Processional you can hear pretty well from behind the theater on the walkway. We didn't stay too long, but I really enjoyed what we heard. We also bought the CD and Philicia Rashad is the narrator. It's beautiful!

Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere! I'm truly addicted to the DIS! I'm always popping up on someone else's TR and a few other threads too. You can't get rid of me that easily!
You should come over to the Snowbirds thread in the Community boards. We all orignially "met" when planning a Jan 2009 trip and have bonded. You know some of us already. Very nice group - you'd fit right in!! Tell them Mndisney girl sent you - no password necessary!

You should at least warn her about Disco Dale

and what to do if she sees him lurking about on our little Snowbirdie thread.

I got the purse at the gift shop on the 4th floor of the Contemporary. Nice stuff!

That bag is so cool! I do tend to overload it with stuff, so it gets heavy! Basin is awesome! I love the smell of that place!
I like that title - I'm going to play with summer and beach in the title I think since we're staying at the Beach Club and going to the "real" beach.

Well, I am finally going to wrap this up.

First - We were constantly impressed with the CMs wherever we went. How they can manage to be so great all the time is amazing! We were fortunate to never have a bad experience with CMs, other guests, etc. The CMs go to WDW every day. We go once a year. How they keep the magic and thrill alive for the millions of guests is awesome. It's why we keep going back.

Also - I planned this trip for 12 people. I was concerned when I started, but truthfully, I'd do it again in a minute. I'm lucky that my in-laws are easy-going and agreeable. It worked out really well and we had a blast together and apart at times. We truly enjoyed being together since we don't get to see them very often living so far away.

We would love to go back during holiday season - it was extra special to see how festive it was with all the decorations and extra events and activities. I guess it made me a little nuts when it came to shopping and picture taking!! I honestly thought I would not be going back for that season for a long time. I'm probably right.

Some favorites from our trip:
New restaurant - Teppan Edo - so much fun - Dave agrees!! I loved Tutto Italia too!
The MVMCP was so cool!! Holiday Wishes was worth the cost of the ticket for me!!
All the resort decorations- especially Beach Club - it made me want to stay there!
The Animal Kingdom Lodge - We had never really "gotten" it before staying there. We had once walked around the lobby a bit and we hadn't felt like we'd like it so much. It was AMAZING!! I'm so glad we stayed there and got to experience the resort.

We really spent a lot of time taking it all in even though we did a lot. It really didn't feel rushed or crazy to me.
Spending such quality time with my husband and daughters reminds me what is truly important. We just soaked up every moment and it is still fun to see the world through their eyes every time we go!

The cruise - nothing short of magical!! Again the extra Christmas touches really impressed. I would only change one thing: Make it longer!!!


I hope everyone gets a chance to enjoy WDW at the holidays, or with extended family you may not get to see regularly. You can make some wonderful memories with them. Each trip we seem to relax a bit more, try different things, enjoy more of the resorts and just realize how fortunate we are to be able to take these family vacations, not just once, but many times over!! And as we all know, people still ask why we keep going back to WDW. I wish I could just hand them a copy of this TR and all the other ones that I have read that inspired me, gave me tips and information and ideas! We all know the answer - it's magical! No one does it like Disney. No one ever will.

With that, I thank you all for reading and following me on this journey. I have made so many wonderful DIS friends and I hope to continue to follow along in your trips and your lives through the boards. We have our next trip planned (as you have been told in this TR) and it might be our last to WDW for a while. We've got plans to go visit friends in London and probably can't manage to do both Europe and WDW (I wish I lived closer!). Maybe Disneyland Paris will work it's way into that trip though!

I'm going to start a PTR soon. Just working on the title and I'll post the link!
