Resorts, Relatives & Restaurants - and a 3 day cruise!

I think 'Ohana is a great way to end a vacation. I love that they serve their food family style. Sometimes getting up the buffet during a character meals makes things a little hectic. We also bought Mickey earrings on our trip. They're really cute. I hope you had a fabulous cruise!!

What a sneaky Mama you are! Sarah is going to LOVE those earrings! We loved breakfast at 'Ohana too! Definitely a must repeat for our family! I liked it SO MUCH that I would be willing to pay OOP just for those eggs and potatoes alone! So yummy! Can't wait to hear all about that Cruise!!!

I was going to tell you about a surprise!
You all know how when you stay at a Disney Resort they leave "stuff" in your room, like this...

40% off Deluxe!!! Now, a little background is in order here.
Because SIL Donna and family came with us on this trip, they did not use their timeshare during the summer of 2009. Their timeshare is in Cocoa Beach, within view of Port Canaveral. They usually go in the summer so the boys can surf. Since they didn't use it, they had two weeks to use in 2010. They wanted us to come and spend a week at the beach with them. We had talked about it before coming to WDW and they booked two "rooms" (really condos) for a week in August 2010. So we had a trip planned to FL in August. I was only excited to do this because the beach was involved! Who wants to go to FL in August when we live in MN?????? Crazy people or people who are trying to squeeze in more DISNEY, that's who!

Dave and I had talked a bit during our stay at BLT. Why couldn't we just stop over at WDW for a couple days before heading to the beach? He was all hot about the Beach Club (not that I wasn't) and didn't even care if he went to the parks! (I did!)
So before we loaded up the car that last morning, Dave picked up the phone.

Called 407 ***-**** (or hit that button on the room phone maybe!)




Said the words "bounceback offer",

Before we left BLT, we had done it. WE BOOKED A BOUNCEBACK!!!
We're staying at the

BEACH CLUB!! We will be there in a standard room for 4 nights prior to heading to the "real" beach!!! At first we booked just a room only and after we got back, we decided to convert it to a package and added 3 day hoppers and the DDP.
Our plan is to fly down, take ME to BC and rent a car at WDW, drive to the beach, and return the car at the airport and fly home.
No flights are booked yet.

Well, our ADR date was on January 29. While I was planning our meals, we had a really hard time deciding where to eat. But we narrowed it down and here's what we came up with...

Thanks! Believe me it's been hard! I now know I cannot keep a secret trip from my kids as much as Sarah wants me to surprise her. I do have little things I can surprise with, but the whole trip? No way!
I desperately wanted to ask everyone's advice for ADR's but I hadn't gotten to the part of my TR where we booked yet, and didn't want to spoile it. That's what I get for being so slow with the TR!

Well, since red was so disappointed in me, I'll throw you a bone! I still am at work without all my details, so this is what I remember. I'll fill in the blanks later.

We will be dining at:
Captain's Grille - dinner first night
Cinderella's Royal Table - breakfast
Cape May Cafe - breakfast on our last morning

This uses 4 TS credits since CRT is 2. I've been wanting to eat there for a while, and didn't want to wait until the kids got too old to want to do it. This will be a surprise for them.
There will be further updates as I have already made some changes that I will share with you shortly. But I have to have all my info in front of me, so I'm sorry, but you'll have to wait a little longer.
I'm getting like LL and Jenjolt with my changes and versions!! But the resort is NOT changing!! We're so excited about the pool and know it will be hot enough to use it!

I think breakfast at Ohana's is a perfect way to end the "land" portion of your trip!

Great update. Can't wait to hear about the cruise!

Our November trip was booked bounceback too, with that same offer. We ended up booking BCV because a studio there was actually cheaper than a regular BC room (as it was 45% off instead of 40%). We're super excited to stay there! And that pool looks awesome!

I have got to try that Ohana's breakfast!! It's a must do next time. I can't believe it's time for the cruise!! Yay! I can't wait to hear about it. And congrats on the bounceback! I love the BC. I've never been, but the pictures of the pool alone are reason enough to fall in love!

Yes, I had to tell someone who I knew would appreciate my excitement. So when I met Kim at the Mall of America, I told her. But I hadn't yet gotten to the point of my TR where it happened, so I swore her to secrecy. Thanks Kim, for keeping it quiet for a while!

Of course, I forgot my ADR list at home again today! Hopefully I'll have a few minutes to update tonight or tomorrow. I'm going to be out of town for a long weekend Thursday night to Sunday morning to scrapbook, so I won't be posting/updating.

I'm thinking about whether to do a PTR, but I really want to finish this TR first. I only have the 3 day cruise left, so maybe I'll save the rest of my planning info for a PTR. I did add a new ticker today! I don't know what the heck I'll talk about for 5 months! Watching the airfares fluctuate? I'm not changing resorts for sure, but maybe I will mess with my ADRs? Fretting about how blasted hot I'll be?

Perhaps after you experience a REALLY HOT SUMMER you might be able to appreciate our lovely Northen climate for its coolness?

I also read that now Fairy Godmother is not appearing at any of the meals, that you will still do the photo op with Cinderella and her Princess friends will visit during dinner. If I recall, MK has early EMH so we'll hit a bunch of fun and then go eat.

I have to confess. The website said it was not on DDP, so in a panic I double booked and got

I couldn't believe how easy it all was. I was up at 6 on my 180 day mark and just started clicking and typing. I had all of this done in about 20 minutes.
