Does anyone know when this starts happening- we will be going for Thanksgiving and would love to see the gingerbread houses and decorated trees at the resorts.
...but I have literally seen Halloween coming down and Christmas going up. Usually, it was only small things (like the street lights) but it felt like the first week of Nov was transition time.

Well that would be great- I knew the parks would be fully decorated at that point- just wasn't sure about all of the resorts. We want to go around and look at them also.

But, according to my good friend who is on year 3 of AP, they try to have everything done by Thanksgiving, so that should work for you. She usually goes the weekend after Thanksgiving and it's complete.
A good, sneaky way to check might be to call and see when they start offering the Yuletide Tour -- decorations are supposed to be completely up when they offer it.
P.S. I just checked online and Yuletide Tour starts 11/28, so you should hit it at the perfect time for decorations!!!
We were CL at the WL the week of Thanksgiving two years ago and the Gingerbread house at the GF was completely up and open for business. Stayed at the GF a year prior to that over Veterans Weekend and it was just starting to be put together if this helps. You should be good.
Sounds great- we will be visiting Disney sat/sun/mon/tues before Thanksgiving, then doing the 4 day Disney cruise, and then sun/mon at Disney again. So we know we will have a little time to see the resorts. Of course I still have over a year......
We were there last Thanksgiving. We went to bed on Monday, Tuesday they had the tree up and the train started (Yacht Club). They told us all of the resorts and hotels were completed by Thanksgiving (or before). My DD Christmas card last year was their family photo in front of tree at the YC.
Have fun!
