Resorts/condos in-between Disney & Universal

Planing on a splitting time between Disney & Universal next trip, would like to rent a condo 1/2 way between both parks. Just 4 of us so 1 bedroom is fine, no more than 2 bedroom needed. So many places to chose from, any suggestions? TIA

You best bet is Windsor Hills. You'll find a large selection of 2 and 3 bed condos. A good website i'd recommend is WindsorHillsPrivateRentals .com
Windsor Hills is the closest short term rental resort to Disney at only 2 miles distance. Universal is easy to get to also. The area around Universal is not zoned for short term rental so only option in that area is Vista Cay which is condo only. Would recommend Windsor Hills.

HOTELS-

Have stayed at Homewood Suites on International Drive and Embassy Suites on International Drive. Both are in between close to convention center area, easy to go either way and very happy with both. Both have plenty of restaurants etc around you can walk to if you want.

Embassy has a nice cooked to order breakfast buffet and evening manager's receptions. Rooms are bedroom, living room with fridge and micro.

Homewood had hot breakfast buffet and dinners some evenings - one night we had Salmon, very good. The room was a bedroom, living room with kitchen. Full fridge, dishwasher, stove and sink.

RESORT-

Just got back from Marriott Grand Vista. Vacation Club but you can rent. The pool area was great, plenty of activities and the location can't be beat. Several of the Marriott Vacation Clubs are in the mid-point between the two. Also, Hilton Vacation Club-Sea World is quite convenient to both, and comes with access to complimentary QuickQueue bracelets for Sea World if you are also visiting there.

Sheraton Vistana Resort is convenient to both park families (and SeaWorld, too).

SVR is VERY close to DTD (close enough to Disney property that a CM residence is right next door) and Universal is straight up the I4.

Both one and two bedroom villas are available here, but I would suggest a 2 bedroom for a family of 4 as the cost between the two different sized units is really very minimal.

Resort amenities are excellent, with 3 of 7 pools being open until 1 am daily.
