Resorts Booked in Full For August???

Has anyone heard that the resorts are booked to capacity for August? Someone on another thread mentioned this and I thought I'd check over here if anyone has found this to be true.

I think it depends on the dates... I was searching for early August a couple of weeks ago and didn't see any availability. When I typed in my dates earlier today (8/25 for 5 nights), I see ASMu, POR, and various Deluxes available, so all is not lost...

Since a lot of AKL guests are being relocated to other deluxes, I think this is having an impact on their capacity. Also, the CR North wing is gone, so this probably also has some impact. For what it's worth, the unofficial guide crowd predictors have crowd levels at 8 and 9 this and next week, then falling to 6 and 5 by the end of the month.

I put the dates in of 8/18 to 8/25 and there were plenty of choices. However, if I put the 17th in as an arrival date there were less choices.

I think it is more that individual days are booked, although most of the month has some availability. If you can't book your whole stay, it comes up as unavailable.

Where is this crowd predictor at? I'd love to see what they are predicting for the week we are there.

We made our WDW resort reservations about 2 months ago and only AS,PoP and Port Orleans were available. We chose POFQ. Everything else was booked!

Pop Century was booked for arrival date of 8/17 - so we are staying at All Star Sports.

I was gonna go ALL OUT this year and Book IN FEBRUARY the Contemporary for 8/4 to 8/13.....They were booked solid then!

So I went with to the good ole POP

However I have friends wanting to stay onsite one night......and they cant get nutin!

We tried to add a night to our trip next week at the beginning of the trip. We wanted either POFQ (where we are staying) or a value (and we'd move the next day)--- couldn't do it--- everything was booked. We tried to switch our entire trip to the following week (we're not on a package, and we're driving), and it wasn't possible (although we still wanted AP rates).

WOW! Lucky - that is when we were trying to book - less than a month ago. And I just called back recently to check again but they said it is all booked.

I think the days you are having trouble with are the 16th and 17th. The other day when I put dates in for 8/17 to 8/25 all the values were not available. However, when I changed my date to the 8/18 to the 8/25 all the values were available.

No worries. I would prefer the location of Pop but we are only going for 2 nights and got a fantastic rate at the All Stars.
