Resorts at Christmas... which ones NOT to miss?

We'll be staying at Shades of Green when we go to WDW in early December. HOwever, I'd like to resort hop to show the girls the sights. Which resorts would you recommend to not miss seeing in all their holiday glory? I heard that one has a giant Gingerbread house... which one?

We stayed at the GF 2 years ago and it has the Giant Gingerbread house. This hotel is just beautifully decorated and should not be missed....

We'll be there in early Dec. too! When are you going? We're just going down for a quick weekend trip for my dd's 5th birthday. we'll be at the WL, since I've always wanted to stay there and hear it is absolutely gorgeous decorated for Christmas! I can't wait!

We'll be there from December 4 -10! We kind of got stuck staying at Shades of Green because my FIL is retired military, and insisted that we stay there. No worries though, we'll be sure to go again in a couple of years and WE'LL pick the resort! LOL I'd love to stay at Wilderness or Animal Kingdom!

I think the deluxe resorts are all great at the holidays! Definitely go into the Yacht & Beach Clubs, Boardwalk Inn and Animal Kingdom Lodge! Those were some of our favorites.

We don't arrive until the 10th, so I guess we'll miss each other. Oh well, maybe some other time. DD's birthday is the 11th, so we're leaving after work on the 10th and probably won't arrive until 10pm or so, just so we can wake up at the WL on her birthday! We're only staying until the 13th, but we'll be back in May!

My plan is to visit GF, Wilderness Lodge, AKL, and the Boardwalk Inn. I'm taking the Yuletide tour as well so not sure which resorts it includes. It sounds like many of the resorts dress up for the holidays.

I booked this for Christmas eve morning. I read the reviews at allears and it seems the tour visits parts of WS before opening, MK, the 2 resorts last year were AKL and GF and then went to the decorations building where all the stuff is stored. Several report that the tour actually lasts longer than the 3 hrs advertised. I think it sounds fascinating.
