Resort VS Park Custodial?

Looks like I will be in a deluxe resort when I get there and im pretty disappointed honestly. I was hoping for any park at all! So now I want to know what its like. I don't know which resort I will be at but I know its a deluxe one. I'm mainly worried about hours since I know how easy it is in the parks but I figure the resorts wont be getting close to 50 at any time. So what's it like? How do your hours look? What shifts can I pick up?

At least i'm working in the air conditioning I guess lol

The deluxe resorts may be more relaxed than a park - which could be a good or bad thing. I worked World Showcase custodial and it was very hectic which made for a very very busy day (esp during food&wine) but it went by fast. I had friends that did custodial at the all stars but I don't know anyone who had deluxe custodial. You may even get pulled during busy season to a park, so you'll get the best of both worlds!

I would definitely check with your leader to see if you're able to pick up shifts at parks - they may be able to pull some strings and it will also show a great work ethic!

My DD did a deluxe custodial. She usually got 32 hours a week, 40 during peak times. It's not all inside. There are many outdoor areas (pool, trash/towel etc.) You can try to pick up shifts at other resorts but it never worked out for my DD.

A good friend of mine did Park Custodial for his CP. He would give away as many of those shifts as he could to pick up Resort Shifts. Some pretty nasty stuff goes down in the Parks apparently.
