Resort TVs-capable of videocam playback?

I love to review my vacation video at the end of the day on a real TV (this is especially true now that my Sony Digital 8 Handycam's LCD viewfinder is broken:mad: )

Are the TVs currently in the resorts capable of handling videocam input so that you can view your video?

The ideal setup is if they have video and audio inputs built in (yellow, red and white for stereo, or just yellow and one other input for mono audio). This used to be unheard of in hotel TVs, but now it's getting to be more common...has Disney taken the plunge yet?

If the sets don't have direct video and audio inputs, then the other option is for me to bring along a decoder box which allows you to connect the camera via the standard cable input...BUT that only works if the TVs give you access to the cable input (some hotel sets don't allow you to disconnect the cable).

Can any of you video-lovers help me? By the way, we're staying at WL, in case the sets are different at different resorts). Thanks in advance.

We were able to plug our DVD cam into the TV at Riverside and watch what we had taped that day. I also know I've read on these boards about people bringing VCRs to tape the resort channel to watch at home, so I would assume that all the resort TVs have A/V inputs.

They are capable for playback. The new TV's, like at POP and FQ have the plugs on the front. The others have them on the back of the TV. We were able to hook up our digital camera to the tv as well. It nice to see the days pictures on a large screen.

Just don't leave the cord in the back of the TV like my hubby did at CSR.

People actually bring their VCRs to tape the resort station.:earseek:

We were at PORiverside the first of July. The jacks were in the back and because of the TV armoire you could not fit your hand back there to hook up. My Husband called maintenance and he came to our room to unlock the TV so we could swivel it. Well his key wouldn't work to unlock it so he had to actually cut a hole out in the back of the armoire for access.

So, the answer is not all TV's have this capability readily accessible.
