My DM, cousin, myself and my DD3 are having tea at the Grand Floridian and then dinner 4 hours later at Ohana. Instead of heading back to our home resort AKL I thought it would be fun to hang around the Poly/GF.

AKL offers activities and such throughout the day, I was curious if GF and poly do as well. What do they have there to keep a 3 year old entertained? Playgrounds? Are the splash parks off limits to non resort visitors? I know the pools are.

Thanks!!

Poly and GF have activities like all of the resorts. You might be able to find the schedule online somewhere for Poly. Depending upon when you are going, the main pool at Poly is closed. The quiet pool is open though. There's no water play areas otherwise at Poly. Apparently, with the construction, Poly is really dead. I bet no one would care if you did swim. I don't think Poly has a playscape. The gift shop at Poly has some neat tropical/Polynesian gifts, nothing specific to the resort though. You could also get some Dole Whip:woohoo: Poly used to have bicycle/surrey rental, but that may be closed due to the demo. There's a nice path between Poly and GF with a beach that you can play on, but not swim.

I think GF has a water play area. I don't know how strict they are over there, or if you have to flash your MB. Not sure if GF has a playscape.

You could also ride the monorail around and kill some time at Contemporary. I think a boat goes from Contempo to WL. That might be fun. Or taking the boat over to MK and back. I always like just riding the monorail and boats.

Thanks for the replies!

I've looked online and can't find the activity sheets for these resorts posted anywhere. Does anyone have any examples of what types of crafts and such they may offer?

Is there anything about Poly activities on Tikiman's page? I didn't keep ours. I do remember games and I think a movie at night. I can't remember what else. You could try contacting the resorts or guest services.

You could always do a little resort exploring, too. Take the monorail to CR, explore a bit, then take the boat to Fort Wilderness. There is a great children's playground there, right off the boat dock. There are some ponies that the kids can look at just around the corner of the restaurants.

As far as activities at the Poly and GF, I know that other deluxe reosrts have them, soI would think these two resorts would have them, too. check out the first pages of both the Polynesian and Grand Floridian facts threads, to see if there is anything posted there.

Four hours is a long time to keep a 3-year old entertained, why not go to the MK for an hour or two?

Yeah, I agree with the others here-

Explore the GF after the tea (if you haven't already), then monorail to MK and take the boat to WL and explore around there. From there boat directly to CR and explore that and then monorail to Poly!

I, too, would recommend going to MK or going to Ft. Wilderness. I don't think there is enough to keep a 3 year old entertained at either GF or Poly for 4 hours.

You can take the monorail or boat to MK and then a boat to FW. Very close to the boat dock, you will find a playground and the horse stables - all the horses used in WDW parades, Cinderella's coach, etc. live here. Children under 48" tall can go on a pony ride. You can also go into the stables and see the big draft horses. FW has a cute gift shop nearby as well. Riding on the monorail/boats and visiting the horses and playground at FW would most likely take up your 4 hours of time.
