Hi,
We will be at CBR without a car. I am familiar with getting to the parks on the buses, however I've never gone from a resort to other resorts for dining. We have plans to go to Chef Mickeys, Mickeys Backyard BbQ and Ohanna from CBR. Do the buses run to other resorts from a resort? How long should we give ourself to do these kind of transfers?
Thank you!

You need to get MK bus to TTC and then grab resort bus or monorail for those 3 places.

  • Chef Mickey: Bus to MK, walk to Contemporary
  • Mickey's BYBBQ: Bus to MK, Boat to FW
  • 'Ohana: Bus to MK, Monorail or Poly
I tend to give myself plenty of time, so I would plan to be waiting for a bus at my resort at least 60 minutes before my Chef Mickey reservation and at least 75-90 minutes before my FW or Poly reservation. For the most part, these are all resorts that if you get there early you can take some time to look around or relax.

What is TTC

The Ticket/Transportation Center. It is where you go if you are driving to the Magic Kingdom. It serves as the parking lot, and is also where you can catch the monorail to both MK and Epcot.

By the way, Disney recommends you allow 90 minutes to make it to ADRs using their transportation. Which is why I now use taxis. For around $20 I save an hour of time and a bit of hassle.

1. Bus to MK, then walk to the CR for Chef Mickeys. Follow the sidewalk that runs beneath the monorail..to your right as you approach MK entrance.
2. Bus to MK. Take the WL/FtW boat. Off the boat at FtW and walk up the path. Ask for further directions when you get to Pioneer Hall.
3. Bus to MK, then either resort monorail or boat to the Polynesian.

Allow about 90 mins to get between resorts. You probably won't need that long, but better safe than sorry.

And no, there are no resort buses at the TTC. Only the ferry to and from MK and the monorail station. Off-site resorts use it for drop off/pick up, as does the Lynx bus system, Orlando's public transit.
