resort to resort cab costs?

Does anyone know approx. how much it would cost to take a cab from one of the boardwalk area resorts (Swan) to other places on site such as Downtown Disney, Wilderness Lodge, AKL?

Is there a standard rate? Would a cab be faster than taking Disney transportation when going resort to resort or resort to DTD?

BWV - Contemporary = $13
BWV - DTD = $7

But note: Swan being the first stop in the Epcot area resorts loop, and the trip back from DTD being a straight shot, you won't come out much better (time) taking a taxi, except you may save some time not waiting on a bus.

We took a taxi going to DTD twice, b/c of the crowded busses by the time the busses get to BWV (last stop usually). But also, the trip to DTD requires the left turn (at OKW??), so the busses can come into the Marketplace stop on the same side of the road. Taxi saves more time going over to DTD, than on the return.
