Resort Surprise

I’m surprising my family later this month. They think we are staying at CBR. We are actually staying at Poly.
Anyone have any creative ideas to pop the surprise? My heart is in the right place but my creativity is lacking.

How old are your kids?

Maybe take a picture of Poly and have Shutterfly create an easy puzzle to put together.

Are you wanting to surprise them before or after you get there? If after you’ve arrived, maybe make an ADR for the lily and say you’re eating there before you “check-in” at CBR and say you’re having bell services hold your bags. Then make an excuse until your room is ready and then head to the room and say “surprise”!

If you want to do it it before, maybe have a “poly” party and tell them then?

W surprised my kids with a WDW stay after our DCL. We took the bus back to MCO and then I made an excuse of forgetting something important (I think I said passport) and that we would need to rent a car and go back to the port. They were beyond surprised and thrilled when we drove under the WDW sign and we told them we were doing the parks for a week.

Print a resort map of poly.
Get them a souvenir or postcard from Poly.

Surprising my wife too. That’s part of the creativity issue.
We are going to Blizzard beach the day we arrive.
My plan is to just pull into Poly and let them figure it out.
I thought of a shirt that says “I Lied. Folly me to the Poly.” Wasn’t sure of any other great ideas. Thank you.

If your wife uses the app, it will be hard to keep it a secret. Maybe leave little Hawaiian-inspired things around the house, in the suitcases, etc.

My favorite surprise when I was a kid was when my parents mailed a letter from “Mickey” telling us that he just needed us to come celebrate the millennium with him. They sent it about a month out so we could get excited. Maybe Stitch or Moana could “contact” them and say how they can’t wait to spend time together.

Coronado is right down the street from blizzard beach so you have to drive right past it on the way to Poly from blizzard beach. Maybe drop Hawaiian Rollercoaster ride on car stereo after you pass it and they start asking questions.

Go to party supply store & get the fake Hawaiian leis and tell them Stitch sent them from Poly and he hopes you visit next trip.
Cool Kid Summer Events at certain resorts and in each theme park .
Maybe he wants them to go to AMC Disney Springs for his new movie .
Pretend scavenger hunt to find “ certain characters “ with Stitch as last location at the Poly … and surprise Stitch did a switch and this is the check in surprise

You could always keep emphasizing Caribbean Beach on the way and then claim that you’re going to sneak over to Poly first to meet a friend and then surprise them with the good news at that point.
