This is our first family trip to WDW and I have all the plans of pics for my scrapbooks...I was wondering which resorts you recommend for taking pics? I do alot of pics of my kids at different places and then frame them throughout our house (get lots of compliments on my pics). Looking for places that make great backdrops not just disney theme (will take lots of theose too :earseek: ) Any tips would be greatly apprecitate...We leave in 8 days

This is kind of a hard question to answer. What might be a great backdrop to set up a pic to one person, might not appeal to another.I would suggest, that you follow your heart when it comes to setting up for a great pic,and don't be impatient about waiting until people have cleared out of your pic.It is worth the wait,as you are creating awesome memories from your trip.Tip:don't always set your shots straight on towards the subject.Sometimes, different angles to the subject, gives the pic an ere of style.(I hope I put that right).Even squatting lower than the subject, puts a whole different perspective to the shot.Again, use your best judgment and let your heart lead your shots and you will do just fine.Have a great time at Walt Disneyworld!

the pool areas usualy have some cool stuff to pose with. i know port orleans has some great mardi gra themed stuff. there are loads of places at boardwalk (in the lobby by the big fireplace, in the game room). i would just wander around the disney web site and do the virtual tours of the different resorts.

Leave the MK and hop the Monorail.

Photo-op at Contemp, in front of Mary Blair's tile mural. (one of the better works of art on property, besides the mosiacs in the tunnel through Cindy's Castle)
Hop back on and get a beach shot and maybe a volcano shot at the Poly.
On your way through the lobby get a pic of the not so hidden Mickey in the stone work by the front door. Then get one in front of a tiki upstairs, maybe?

Hop on, then off at GF, if that's your style (we only have pics with the giant ginger bread house...it's not really themed in a fashion we enjoy).

Then back to the MK...maybe that took an hour and 1/2?

73 days....

We have a special World Showcase scrapbook. I took pictures of the kids at each country in EPCOT, acting appropiately "touristy" in each. The book is themed to look as though they actually traveled the world, and it does! It is always a huge hit!

I don't know if I could take time out to visit different resorts just to take photos, but it sounds interesting. Each resort definitely has iconic spots and great photo locales, so it shouldn't matter which ones you visit!

:teeth: "say cheese"
