Hi all...just wondering if anyone can tell me the best way to find the best rate for the disney resorts??? It seems that people are able to find great specials on specific hotels using special rate codes, etc...I saw one mention of a come back rate or something like that?? Can someone help guide me to finding these rates and info on tracking specials on resort only? Thanks so much!!

Hi, and welcome:sunny: I'm pretty new at this Disney rate scramble, but from what I've researched, the best place to find the rate codes, etc is mousesavers.com. She lists ALL the codes, their availabiity, dates, etc including reports on what AP (annual pass) rates people have reported getting. The other smart thing to do is to keep an eye on these boards as when rumors start flying about a rate code release, they are usually within a few days of releasing a new code or special.

Have you decided on a resort yet? That's your first big, big hard decision. What I hear lots of people do is choose their resort, make their reservation for room only (which requires a lesser deposit) and wait and watch for codes for their dates. If you want to try for an AP rate, don't buy your ap until AFTER you confirm your discount onto your room reservation.

Ticketmania.com is a good reputable ticket broker.

Have a great time planning. That is half the fun.

Welcome to the DIS!

mousesavers.com is a good place to look. She give a lot of historical information so you can see the trends.

Thanks so much for the advice!! I am VERY new at this type of planning. Last year we went but didn't do a lot of bargain shopping, so thought I'd try that for next spring. We haven't decided on a hotel yet...thinking of All Star Movies (we stayed last year and loved it b/c of toy story, of course, with two young boys!!), CBR or Swan...anyone have advice on that??? Are the Swan and CBR worth the extra money? We have a five and a two year old.

Thanks again...what a great service!

Beware! It's VERY adicting!! :p

The Swan/Dolphin offer discounts to teachers, nurses, firefighters, gov't workers, etc. So if you think you (or your spouce) might qualify, it's worth looking into.

You could also book your room with a AAA discount and apply a discount code when it (and if) comes out. For next spring, I'd estimate it probably won't be realeased till about 2, maybe 3 months prior.

This is a GREAT site with lots of pictures of the various resorts.

I've only stayed at the CR & WL, I can help you with these if you're interested.

Look around, lots of great info!::yes::
