I know the occupancy of the 2bdrm at OKW is 8 plus a crib or pack-n-play. But how strict is that? I am planning on renting points for a January visit with another family, and we are both families of 5, but our babies are both 3. Our baby would sleep with us in the king and their baby would be in the pack n play.

I know with the addition of the sleeper chair that it would be even easier, but my question is more one regarding the DDP. Can I put 4 adults and 6 kids on the DDP in a 2 bedroom?

Usually it is max capacity plus 1 child in a PnP permitted. Either way, you are over the max capacity and they would not allow you do to book the DDP because your party is over the limit.

Could you book two 1 bedrooms instead?

Since both of your youngest children are three or older, you would not fit into a two bedroom villa. At OKW, with the addition of the sleeper chair, you could have nine plus one UNDER the age of three. You have ten. You'd be too many people.

You could reserve two one bedroom villas and be within occupancy.

I could, but its quite a bit more points a night. Just trying to save the budget if possible! :thumbsup2

Thanks so much for your help, you too Deb&Bill! :)

Totally understandable. Poke around the Rent board to see if you can buy some more points to tack on to your existing ones. The occupancy limit is there for a reason.

If you can't add more points for this resort, see if you can find another cheaper place points-wise to get two 1 bedrooms.

Sorry it's not the answer you want to hear but I hope you work things out in time to enjoy your trip

What, if any, ramifications will there be to the actual point owner if the person they rent to is caught exceeding the occupancy limit?

I don't know about ramifications to the point owner, but they could certainly request the family in question get an additional room or leave with no refund.

I don't know, but It be quite a rude thing to do to an owner .

and I would absolutely never do that! We will be on the DDP anyway and would have to notify the owner of the people staying there.

1) They would demand the max capacity enforced.
2) Thus, people would have to leave the room.
3) They would have to go to
. . . another room
. . . another resort
. . . off-site
4) Plus, the new Disney room would be at FULL rack rate, without discounts.
5) That is a pretty big monetary penalty.
