Thank you!If you’re a no-show, they may cancel your entire reservation. As soon you know you won’t be arriving on the date your reservation starts, call them and let them know.
Does anyone know what would happen if we have a room reservation for one night but don't arrive until the next morning? Would our magic bands still work to get into the room and pool access?
Thanks
Absolutely! This is excellent advice! If you know that you will not arrive on the day your reservation begins, I would let them know ASAP. It could save your reservation
But while this is nice to hope for, IMO it's unrealistic. The hotel has reserved and held that room for the guest, even if the guest arrived a day late. They were ethically unable to rent it to somebody else. I feel the hotel is 100% entitled to the expected revenue.and could make the difference of having to pay for an extra night
Well you could use online check in. You would already be checked in that way.
Despite the name, online check-in isn’t the same as physically arriving at the resort and claiming the room. It won’t prevent the reservation from being cancelled as a no-show.
We arrived the following day, but at 2:30 am, due to weather delays. I had received a room ready text the day before and we bypassed the front desk.

Disney holds all rooms till 11AM the next morning (c/o time) After that it's a no-show.

Thank you!!2:30am is still the same hotel “day” — hotels sell “nights” and at WDW the clock turns over at 6am. Anything before that hour is considered the prior day.
OP, if you are just concerned that it may be after midnight, that’s no problem. If it may be after 6am the next morning, you should let them know.
Enjoy your vavation
Yes. As @Lynne M stated in an earlier post, despite the name Online Check In is not the same as physically arriving at the resort and claiming your room.
Even with online check in?
