Aloha.

The last time I was at the Polynesian Resort was in May of 2007 and near the end of my trip I noticed that they were changing the Polynesian resort specific refillable mugs over to the generic Year of A Million Dreams refillable mugs with no resort logo on them or resort specific design.

I was wondering, if the refillable mugs are still the Year of A Million Dreams ones, or if they possibly have changed back to the resort specific refillable mugs.

Thank you!!

They are still selling the Year of a Million Dream logo mugs. The only difference is they don't say the year on them, the way last years mugs said 2007.

We were at the POFQ from Sept 12-20th, and unfortunately they have not switched back to the resort specific mugs. We liked those much better than the generic ones.

really??? ugh...I love having the different resort specific mugs and I love my fat one :) The best ones we ever got were the ones from CSR they were by far the biggest and you didn't have to keep refilling every five minutes :rotfl:

Actually CSR still sells their Resort logo mugs, because their dining locations are not owned by WDW.

Curious.
With the Year of a Million Dreams mugs out there is it ever possible to get away with using the old mugs still? We have the old CR fat mugs (early 90's), the newer CR fat mugs(early 2000's) and the fat mugs from the Value resorts (2006). This year we are staying at the Poly, but flying for the first time rather than driving the mini-van so we're thinking twice about everything we take.
Anyone have a photo of what these skinny Year of a Million Dreams mugs look like too?

thanks,
Don

Isn't that being dishonest?

well, I know I'm not the only one on the board who reuses them..I've heard many others say the same, and had Disney empoyees tell me no big deal.
..not that it right or wrong though

The policy is the mugs are good for the length of stay in which you purchased them. There are signs above the mugs when you buy them and at every beverage station.

So, as long as everyone else does it, it makes it okay for you cheat the system?

I re-buy new mugs every year. Mainly because they are made in the U.S.A. which makes me happy. But also because it's just 12.99. When you think of how much money you would spend on soda in the parks, it adds up quickly.
