My wife and I are currently booked for a 2 night stay at BWV in a BW view room for early November. Hearing that most of the boardwalk is shut down has me second guessing our decision. We’re doing a resort day and likely DS evening our first day and then Epcot our second day.
Other resorts available are Cooper Creek, Kidani, Jambo, Boulder Ridge, Saratoga, and OKW. Would it be worth it to change resorts? We’ve stayed at AKL but never any of the other resorts. Just trying to figure out what resorts might have more going on than Boardwalk.

Other people can chime in when Christmas decorations usually go up, I have read BRV's lobby is impressive during the holidays (not sure if the current economic situation would have any impact though).

LAX

In terms of Epcot, that is the best place to stay as it’s easy to get in and out of since you can walk there,

All others will require a bus. I am not sure I’d give BWV if that is the plan.

Other than SSR, which gives you easy to DS at night, all the others are going to be as remote as BWV area...

No need to overthink it. With your EPCOT plan. Great choice. Things will be a whole lot different in November.

I was just there last weekend and it wasn’t too bad. There are still restaurants open and the walk to both parks is great, what are you looking to do? The pool was open, we went to ale and compass at yacht/beach. Had a great time. 😀

The upside of the BW area not being fully opened is it should be quiet at night in your BWview room. The BW view rooms can be very noisey when people are leaving Jellyrolls at the end of the night.

The Surrey bikes will be available - you can take a nice ride around, and also just take the skyliner for a joyride :)
