Resort questions

I just posted questions on the parks forum. Now I have questions about resorts.

Does Universal have options like Disney has? Onsite Resorts? Dining plans? Free Dining ever?

Where would be a good place to stay for a family of four. DD will be 14 and DS will be 12.

Universal has three on site resorts: The Hard Rock Hotel, the Portofino Bay Hotel, and the Royal Pacific Resort. The BEST perk about staying on site is getting all day express access to all of the attractions at the parks. Just show your room key and go right into the express line.

Have a look at the hotel comparison chart. All three onsite properties are beautiful and deluxe. Pick the theme you like best and pool hopping is allowed.
