I doubt HP has much to do with it. I just got a nice room at RPR for about $150 a night, with AP discount, for a few weeks ago.
What we are seeing is that with Easter falling so late, the rooms are costing us more than ever before due to spring breaks and Easter vacations. Rooms aren't so bad before and after this time frame. But the time frame is a long one.

Your stay was a few weeks ago? That would make sense with what I seem to be noticing just fussing around with different 2011 dates. It seems that even looking at dates within the non-peak timeframes, the 2011 rates (even the stay more save more ones) are a lot higher than the 2010 rates. We just stayed at PBH for 5 nights for $164/night garden view (stay more save more) and I'm not able to find any of the same rooms for the same number of nights in 2011 for under $200. The least expensive stay more save more rate I can find for garden view is $205. Two rooms at $164 was pushing it; two rooms at $205 seems kind-of crazy. Staying 7 nights brings the per night charge "down" to $191.

Hopefully the 2011 rates will be brought down a little at some point. But I will say that we loved PBH so much that even if they aren't, we'll probably figure out a way to stay there again during our next trip; it might just be pushed out farther.
