has anyone done this? Is it worth it?
I see that there are several resort locations...are they just general scenery photos, or would someone be able to tell what resort you are at?
Im considering the one at AKL (where we are staying this trip) and going back to the Poly.

Any suggestions??

We did one at the Poly in 2010 and we did one at the GF last year. Both were worth every cent in my opinion.

You can ask for specific shots so if you wanted it to be obvious which resort you are at, then you could request this. We wanted the opposite as we buy the Photopass CD and we wanted some non Disney photos of us together. The little pics in my siggie are a mix of the two sessions. If you want to see some more I will link you to them.

we've done the photo session at the GF. We took a lot of photos around the grounds at the GF; some inside, some out in the gardens, some on the beach. It was fun for us, but our kids like being photographed. It was about 1.5 hours from start to finish.

If cost are any issue you could also go with a local photographer as well. Probably a little more personable that way also.

I know I've shot a few since I've moved down.

If you want real photography, hire a local photographer instead. I've seen the shots from the "fauxtographers" at Disney... really anyone could take what they take.

Pick me!!! Pick me!!! :cool1:

are there 'offsite' photographers that would come to a resort and take photos?

Yes there are. Any local Orlando photographer worth his salt knows Disney and the Disney Resorts like the back of his hand and has annual passes to go with it. I write mine off as a business expense...:confused3

I shoot about one a month either in parks or resorts but I don't advertise it.

Shooting folks on vacation is a blast, never any problem with smiles.:cool1:
